THIRD PERSON'S POV:-
Artemis was standing at the entrance of the meeting hall. She was in her half shifted form. She was glaring at an unknown woman that was standing in the middle of the meeting hall. Elijah was staring at them with a confused look on his face. The face of that woman looked so familiar. Yet, Elijah couldn't put his finger on where he might have seen that face before. Artemis' growls were getting louder and more aggressive by every single passing moment.
Elijah's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he saw Artemis growling angrily. It was the very first time he was seeing her that angry. "Artemis! Look at me! It's alright. Everything is alright." Elijah called Artemis to calm her down. He could smell her hatred and anger. And he knew she was going to kill that woman without thinking about it.
That unknown woman, on the other hand, was enjoying the scene in front of her. The satisfied smirk on her face was almost as if she was looking for something juicy to enjoy. "That's right, Elijah! She should know her place. Teach her a lesson." The woman growled loudly at Elijah. It sounded more like an order that she barked on Elijah.
Elijah gritted his teeth in anger as he recognized that unknown woman. He knew why she looked so familiar and yet he could recognize her. "It's you! What are you doing here? Last I remembered, you left us all without saying anything." Elijah growled angrily at the woman. She raised one of her brows at Elijah. As if she was not surprised at all to hear Elijah growling at her angrily.
Tracy was listening to Elijah's heartbeat. It suddenly paced up the speed. She could tell that something was bothering Elijah. And it was related to that woman. "But now I am back. I missed you so much, my dear." The woman added in a loving tone as she walked towards Elijah. Artemis grabbed her long hand by their tips and pulled her backwards again.
After everything she had been through, she had gotten very possessive about everything that belonged to her. And to her, Elijah belonged to her. Although she hadn't confessed her true feelings to Elijah all that long, she still couldn't let anyone take her place. "Stay the fuck away from Eli. He doesn't belong to you." Artemis growled at the woman angrily. Showing her who was the boss in that place.
Technically, Artemis was the boss since she was Luna. According to everything Tracy had told her, she knew she was the boss when Elijah was not around. "Know your fucking place. You are nothing but a whore Elijah uses for his pleasure." The woman howled at Artemis angrily. Artemis had disrespected her. That woman couldn't bear the people who degrade her in any way.
Artemis' heart skipped a beat as she heard that woman's claims. It was not like Elijah had ever done anything to make her feel like she was just with Elijah to warm his bed. But the claim of that woman suddenly sounded as if she knew Elijah. Elijah growled angrily as he heard that woman calling his innocent angel with dirty names. "Shut the fuck up. You don't know anything about me." Elijah howled at that woman angrily.
The woman growled loudly as she heard Elijah yelling at her. Artemis smirked mischievously as if she was winning a fight against that woman. "We can discuss that later. She doesn't have to know anything." That woman responded in a low tone and suggested Elijah to get rid of Artemis.
Artemis knew Elijah well. She knew that it was impossible for Elijah to listen to anyone whenever it came to Artemis. He was practically blind and deaf in front of the others whenever they talked anything against Artemis. Ignoring the orders of that woman, Elijah turned his head towards Artemis. "Artemis! Look at me, baby. I am right here. I am in front of you. Don't listen to anything else." Elijah tried to calm Artemis down. He knew well that she was having a hard time controlling Tracy.
Artemis frowned in confusion as she heard Elijah. It was not like Tracy was going on a rampage. She was the calmest beast anyone could ever ask for. Not once Tracy went on a rampage. She was a calm coyote. An idea popped into Artemis' head. She decided to play along instead of correcting Elijah. She wanted that woman to know her place.
Artemis started growling and grunting as she heard Elijah's concerned tone. "I can't control it, Eli. She is too strong for me." Artemis spoke in a low tone. As if she was in pain. As if she was having a hard time. Tracy, on the other hand, was watching the drama calmly. She was not even put completely.
Elijah took a step forward. There was a concerned look on his face as he heard Artemis. "That's not true. You have been the strongest. You have been in control since the beginning." Elijah whispered so gently. Artemis heard him loud and clear. Her heart skipped a beat again. This time, after hearing Elijah's gentle tone for her.
She wanted to jump in his arms and melt. But she couldn't do it at that moment. She had to play along. She wanted to teach that woman a lesson. Something that would show her that Elijah belonged to her. "Artemis! You were following a scent! What happened to that?" Elijah asked Artemis a question. Something to change the topic.
Artemis growled angrily. She didn't want to change the subject. But definitely, she just needed to play along. "Oh! I… I… ah…" grunting fakely, Artemis tried to answer Elijah.
Elijah was getting worried about Artemis. He was not sure why Artemis was suddenly in so much pain. "Artemis! Listen to my voice! What happened to the scent you were following?" Elijah took a step closer to Artemis and repeated his question. His voice was gentle. He didn't want Artemis to feel like Elijah was angry at her.
He was angry, yes! There was no doubt in that. But it was not Artemis that he was angry at. He was angry at that woman standing in the middle of his meeting hall, behaving as if she owned the place. "I don't know what happened to it. It was long gone." Artemis knew exactly what happened to that scent. But she didn't want to speak up in front of that unknown woman. She didn't trust that woman.
"Then how did you find this place?" Elijah asked Artemis in a low tone. He was a little surprised since he had no idea how Artemis found a way to his apartment building from the underground tunnels.
Artemis was a little surprised too. Because she didn't realise what she was doing by playing Elijah like that. "I don't know. I don't know how I got here." Groaning in pain, she said whatever the first thing came into her mind.
Elijah sighed as he heard her. He could say that she was exhausted for some reason. "It's alright! Just calm down. You are safe." Elijah spoke in a low tone as he started walking towards Artemis.
"I just don't get it. Why is your slave creating such a fuss? She is here to warm your bed only." Rolling her eyes in annoyance, the woman suddenly commented upon the scene in front of her.
Artemis growled in anger as she heard those dirty remarks. "You mother fucking bitch!" Artemis howled loudly as she launched at that woman. She grabbed the woman by her neck and raised her in the air.
"Artemis, NO!". Elijah howled and tried to stop Artemis but she was already squeezing the throat of that woman.
"Say that again! Say what you just told me, YOU BITCH!" Artemis howled loudly at the woman, daring her to repeat herself again.
"Control your play thing, Elijah. Or I am going to kill her." That woman growled at Elijah angrily. Hearing that woman, Artemis started laughing menacingly.
"I would like to see you try, bitch!" Artemis dared the woman yet again. She squeezed the woman's throat even more. Blocking her airways completely.
The woman started struggling. Kicking and scratching Artemis but it was of no use. Her face started to turn red and her eyes bulged out. "CAN'T… BREATH…" she spoke through the useless gasps she was taking to fill her burning lungs with oxygen.
Elijah stepped forward and offered Artemis his hands. "Artemis! Hey! Baby, listen to me. She is not a threat. She is my mother. There is no intruder here. Just calm down." Elijah spoke in a gentle tone. Her heart started tickling inside her rib cage as she heard his gentle tone. She almost didn't hear what he was talking about.
A surprised look flashed on her face for a moment as she heard Elijah. She was quick to mask that surprise with anger again. "She is not an intruder?" Artemis asked Elijah in a low tone and he quickly shook his head.
Artemis was surprised to hear Elijah calling that unknown woman his mother. It made sense since Emma looked almost like that woman. "No! She is not an intruder. It's alright. Come on, take my hand, baby girl." Elijah replied to the question Artemis had asked him. His gentle tone was melting her heart again and again. Her heart was practically dancing inside her rib cage. Enjoying every single word that he spoke just to help her calm down. Tracy was also enjoying that treatment very much. She also lived whenever Elijah showered Artemis with love. Tracy was wiggling her tail so happily. Artemis' heart wanted to just jump out in Elijah's hand. But Artemis still had to keep on playing the game she started playing the moment Elijah thought Artemis was in trouble.
