CHAPTER 98

  ARTEMIS' POV:-

Tracy was growling inside of me. It's not a surprise but I knew Grace was interested in learning my secret. I was not sure why she was so interested. But I had a bad feeling about this. I was staring into Elijah's eyes, hoping he wouldn't make that damn mistake. "That's the thing. She is a shifter but she is not a werewolf. Artemis is a Werecoyote." Elijah growled angrily while staring at me. Actually, he was glaring at me. As if he would swallow me whole. I never thought he would be that angry at me one day. I was the one who used to calm him down. And yet, he was standing in front of me, glaring at me angrily.

as those words came out of his mouth, I gritted my teeth angrily. I couldn't believe he would say it out loud. I was not even allowed to tell my mother what I actually was. Tracy also growled angrily at Elijah as she heard him revealing our secret. "That sick son of a bitch. He told our secret out loud. That bastard betrayed us." Tracy cursed him for revealing my secret to his mother. Not just that, he said it out loud in front of the whole pack.

I was as angry as Tracy was. After all those lectures, he revealed my secret when he told me it was not safe for anyone to know that I was a Werecoyote. That was the reason Tracy never showed herself in front of anyone. "Keep your cool, Tracy. We know how to protect ourselves. Ten Graces have to be born to control you and I." I tried to calm Tracy down. If I could, I could kill his mother for bringing a hurricane in our lives. She was destroying everything and Elijah was doing nothing.

I could see that she was using Elijah as her own puppet. I didn't know how she filled his head but surely, he was ready to give everything up just for her. Getting all worked up over that woman, I was not going to let her get to me. I promised myself to figure out what Grace was planning. And after all that, I swore to strip her nice mask off of her face in the middle of that very hall.

Taking a deep breath to calm myself down, I turned around and walked towards the door. He made it very clear for me. There was nothing else left. It was better for me if I had just left him with his mother. I hadn't found Uncle Grey. I had a hunch, Uncle Grey was the only one who could have saved the pack from that witch. "Artemis! You will wait for the next task for you. I don't want you back on the watch. I don't want to see you anywhere near that place. Also, you didn't submit to the Luna." Elijah threatened me as he saw me leaving.

I was expecting him to at least ask me where I was going. He never left me alone like that. He even swore to never leave me behind ever again. But at that point, he only played as a puppet in his mother's hands. "I mind my own damn business. You better not poke your nose in my business. Now that you are done, I shall go back home and prepare for my college first project." I growled at him angrily.

I was just not in the mood to talk. So I decided to leave. "Your Alpha asked you to wait!" Growling loudly at me, Grace attacked me from behind. Either she was a complete idiot or she didn't know anything about the Werecoyotes.

Before she could even touch a single hair on my head, I turned around and grabbed her by her neck. Last time, I was just acting. But at that moment, my anger was out of my control. "Artemis! Let her go!" Elijah roared at me to let his mother go. I was a moment away from snapping her neck for good.

Hearing Elijah's voice, I gritted my teeth. Just like that last time, I pulled my arm down and threw that woman away. She went flying away from me. Grace collided with the book shelf with a loud thud then she fell down on the ground. "ARTEMIS!" Elijah yelled at me angrily as he ran towards his mother to help her up.

It was the deja Vu. The only difference was that this time, Elijah was standing with his mother. "Tell her to mind her own fucking business. I can hardly control Tracy. Don't make it hard for yourself, Elijah." I yelled at Elijah, Tracy's voice was mixed with mine. She wanted to warn Elijah to keep his mother in control.

I turned around to leave but of course, Grace didn't really know her place. "You motherless whore!" Grace yelled as she stood back up on her feet. Those words made their way to my ear and Tracy took control over my body. She didn't come out but I was no longer in control. Tracy took a deep breath and right after that, Tracy howled loudly at Grace. The window glasses shattered into millions of pieces. Everyone in the pack backed away.. Elijah was staring at me with a surprised look on his face. As for Grace, she was on the ground, bowing before me.

"That's right! Stay where you belong. Or next time, I will have you as my dinner. You wouldn't even see us coming." Tracy growled at Grace angrily. Tracy let me out again. I flipped my hair as I turned around.

"The meeting is not over. You all are still expected to submit to the new Luna of this pack. That means you too, Artemis." Before I could even walk towards the door, Elijah stopped me from behind yet again. Either he wanted his mother dead, which could be better for all of us. Or he was actually trying to tip me off.

I turned my head. My gaze landed in Elijah. Staring into his eyes, I raised my left hand and showed him my middle finger. "That's all I have for your Luna. Don't mess with me, Elijah. Or I will forget everything." I warned him again as I walked towards the door. I made my way straight towards the elevator.

I called the elevator. Luckily, it was close by. I hopped into the elevator and punched the button for the ground floor. "Do you think we overdid it a little? I mean, he is the alpha and we are supposed to do everything he tells us and we are expected to submit to him." Tracy asked me because I showed Elijah my middle finger.

Tracy had nothing to do with that action. It was all my doing. Maybe I overdid it a little. But he was the one who pushed me over the edge. I ignored him twice. I couldn't accept that criminal witch as the Luna of that pack. "Submitting to him, I can do that. But not until he gets his mind in place again. Meanwhile, we keep a low profile but keep on searching for Uncle Grey." I replied to Tracy in a low tone.

I was asked to stay away from the very place that looked very suspicious. She was hiding something and I could say, Elijah was just blinded by her. I couldn't let him destroy something he loved the most. That's why, I decided to go against his orders and keep on looking for Uncle Grey. "Let's get that bitch!" Nodding her head enthusiastically, Tracy replied to me. The elevator door opened and I stepped out.

  ---------------------------------------------------------

The very next day, I hadn't met or talked with anyone. The whole night, I heard Ryan crying in his bedroom. I was able to force him to eat something and get some sleep. I came out once I tucked him in his bed. Porr Ryan was torn between the truth and the lies Grace was telling us all. Once Ryan was asleep, I went back to Uncle Grey's apartment. The whole place was cleared out. I couldn't do anything at all. And no one was telling me where all the stuff was taken.

Lastly, I had one last option. To follow the trail I was given. Following that same way, I went into the underground tunnels. This time, instead of following a scent, I decided to follow all six senses of mine. Tracy and I shifted partially. Tracy followed the straight way into those tunnels. Soon, we stepped out of the tunnel from its end. I still didn't know where that tunnel began from. But at that time, the end was yet another achievement.

We were standing in the middle of the woods. I ran with my super speed for fifteen minutes. So it was clear that I was far away from home. I suddenly heard this noise. As if someone was running and panting. I also sensed male aroused scents. "Did you hear that? It feels like someone is in trouble." Tracy asked me in a low tone and I slapped my pa on my forehead.

"The fuck is wrong with you, Trac. You and I feel and sense the same things. Let's go and find out what's going on." I growled at Tracy in annoyance as I followed the noises and the scents.

We got to the middle of the forest. I could see not too tall but mountains around the area, covered with green grass and differ types of flowers. I saw a girl at the corner, surrounded by three huge sized men. To my surprise, she looked almost exactly like me. "Now we have finally cornered you. We can take you with us. Your kind is definitely going to get us more money. Plus, we can have some fun with her as well." One of the three men spoke in an excited tone while rubbing his palms together in excitement.

I looked down at their pants. All of them had boners and they were not onto anything good. I walked towards them, growling angrily. "Hey, bitches! Why don't you guys pick someone your own size?" I yelled at them as I walked towards them.

All three of them turned towards me. "Artemis! If I come out, they are going to know our secret too." Tracy warned me while staring at those three wild wolves. I knew I smelled something rotten around the forest.

"It's no longer a secret. Everyone knows about it. So quit whining and help me out." I replied to Tracy in a low tone while cracking my knuckles. It had been a long time since I got busy with a fight.

"They look like the Mafia. They were talking about selling that woman. If they get us, we will be smuggled as well." Tracy growled as she shifted partially. She was not kidding. I read a few books Elijah's father left for the peco members. I doubted that even Elijah knew about those books and their secrets. I had read about the dark Mafia and had seen their tattoos that were mentioned in the books. The one standing in front of us were actually the smuggling mafia.

"Well, then, we can't let any of these mother fuckers live, now can we?" I replied to Tracy in a low tone, knowing well that if one of them was able to run away, Tracy and I would be dead very soon.

Tracy got so excited so suddenly as she heard me. "Are you saying, I can kill them all? All of them. The way I want. As brutally as I want?" Tracy asked me while she was licking her lips.

"Yep! They are all yours. Just make sure not to spare anyone. Finish them off." I replied to Tracy in a low tone, knowing well what she was going to do to all those wild wolves.

"Oh! This is going to be very exciting." Tracy said as she started clapping her hands excitedly.

"What are you all waiting for? Go and get that bitch as well. We are getting money for two today." One of the wild wolves ordered the other two to get me. Elijah's father was right. They were smuggling mafias.

"Come at me, you mother fuckers. Let the bloody game of terror begin. It has been centuries since I murdered someone brutally." Tracy howled at them as she started running into their way. Within a moment, she shifted completely into her beast form. She launched at them. They couldn't even see her. Tracy was running around them, circling around them so fast like a prey. That's how she used to hunt. She used to bring her prey together and then finish them all with one blow. It was very exciting for me as well. Maybe I was also a predictor since I was born.
