ARTEMIS' POV:-
With a surprised look on my face, I was staring at Lily. I had no idea what kind of woman Grace really was. She had been playing everyone. It meant that Tracy and I were right from the beginning. But no one believed us. She played that fucking game so well. "Oh my God! I can't believe it! If she is a wild wolf, how come I was unable to catch her scent? It almost sounds impossible." I asked Lily in a confused tone as I couldn't understand how that bitch fooled Tracy.
It was near to impossible for anyone to fool Tracy with anything. She was amazing with her senses. She was able to find out the truth about Alisa. She was able to find the wild pack on her own. I couldn't help but wonder if there was something I didn't know. "It's not impossible! There is a way for the wild wolves to hide that pungent odour they have. Something that separates them from a pack of wolves." Lily replied to me in a low tone while she was staring at the ground while thinking.
My eyes went wide as I heard Lily. She sure knew a lot. That was another proof that she was older than me. Or maybe, she was a reader, just like I was. "What's that? I mean, Alisa tried something like that too. But she was hardly able to keep it up." I asked Lily in a curious tone. I needed to know if Lily had a clue about this trick Grace used against me.
For sure, it was a trick. Or I would have caught her just like I did with Alisa. "It's lavender essences. Lavender scent has the power to hide any kind of scent. Just like cinnamon has the power to hide the odour of cyanide." Lily replied to my question after a few minutes. The look on her face was no longer playful. She was serious when she was talking about that trick Grace was using to fool Tracy and I.
Tracy suddenly growled inside me as she heard Lily. I was frustrated too. That woman had no shame. She came back to destroy Wilsons all over again. She hadn't had enough the last time she ruined that family. "It makes sense. I haven't known anything about lavender. That's why every time I tried to sense her scent, it felt different every single time." Tracy growled angrily as she felt the same way.
Of course, we wanted that bitch dead. We wanted to end it so Elijah could be happy again. We just didn't know how to unmask that ugly face of Grace's. "Lavender huh! Now it makes sense why Tracy was always so confused whenever we tried to sense her scent." I whispered while thinking about everything that had been happening ever since she stepped into our lives.
The day she stepped into our lives, everything started to crumble. I couldn't care less about being Luna. But it was heartbreaking for me seeing Elijah being rude to me. He was pulling away from me and I just couldn't bear it. "That's right! You can't do it. Not until you use that one trick!" Lily spoke in a low tone. Then she mentioned something. Something that could be an answer to all my questions.
My eyes lit up as I heard her talking about this trick she knew. Something that could help me trace Grace. It was an opportunity I wanted. "What trick? Do you know something that can help me find out what Grace has been planning?" I asked Lily in a curious tone. I was more enthusiastic as I learned that there was a way to save the pack.
A wide smile appeared on Lily's face as she heard my question. I couldn't say why she was smiling like that. It surely looked like a proud smile. "Well, yes! I do know a trick. It's a little messy trick. But it's the only thing that works against lavender." Lily replied to me while shivering in disgust.
I frowned in confusion. It didn't matter to me if it was disgusting or messy. I wanted to do something to save Elijah from his bitch of a mother. "Please, tell me that trick. I need to find out what she has been planning. I can't let her destroy Elijah." I honestly told her while staring into her eyes.
"Well they, if you are that determined, you will be able to do it. You have to throw dog's pee on her. That's how her scent would be revealed to you." She replied to me in a low tone. Hearing her, I also shivered in disgust.
It made sense why she was asking me again and again if I was actually interested. The truth was that I didn't even care if I was supposed to touch dog's poop to save the pack. "Ew! That sure is a disgusting trick. But still, tell me, how does that work?" I added in a low tone then asked her about that trick.
I didn't understand how that trick could help me catch Grace red handed. That's why, I wanted her to tell me what I couldn't understand. "Dog's pee will have the dog's scent. You have to keep that scent in mind. When you throw scent on the person covered with lavender, the dog's pee will remove most of the lavender's effects." Lily explained everything to me very calmly.
I nodded my head as it started to make sense. Lily knew lots of things about the werewolves and their secrets aa well. I was glad I was able to save her because she was helping me a lot. "You will have two scents left. One will be of the dog's, the second one will be Grace's. That's how this trick works. It's effective against lavender." She added in a low tone.
I had this marvellous trick I could use against Grace to figure out her motive why she came here in the first place. I couldn't thank Lily for her help. "Thank you! I will be using it to get to her. For now, I should leave. It's not my territory and I don't want any more trouble." I thanked Lily in a grateful tone. Tracy was already building upma plan in her head. She was pissed at Grace for disrespecting my mom. And she was determined to make her lick those words back.
I was not sure why, but talking to Lily was way easier than talking to my own mother or even Elijah. It felt like I had known her for ages. "It's alright! You can come and go whenever you want. Werecoyotes have always been welcomed in these lands. They are not like werewolves." Lily replied to me in a kind tone. She cupped my face with one of her hands. She was staring into my eyes.
She welcomed me on her land just so I would keep on coming to meet her. To be honest, I felt the same way. I also wanted to meet her again. I wanted to come and talk to her about something other than the pack or its troubles. "Oh! That's a good thing. I would like to meet you again sometime." I replied to Lily in a gentle tone.
Lily smiled widely as she pulled me in a gentle hug. As k said, it felt like we had known each other for ages. That's why that hug was not awkward at all. She pulled away from me, smiling brightly. She raised her left hand above her head and snapped her fingers three times. A small bouquet of lavender flowers appeared in her hands. "Sure! Come here whenever you want. Take this with you. A gift for saving me." She greeted me and offered me those flowers.
With a huge smile on my day, I accepted those flowers. After everything, she made my day a little better. Talking to her was easy. Sharing my troubles with her, made all my troubles almost vanish. "Thank you! I will see you soon! Take care of yourself." I thanked her again as I sniffled onto the flowers. Waving my hand, I turned around and started walking towards the tunnels as well. I had to run back home.
---------------------------------------------------------
Those flowers in my hands sure made my day. I no longer had the sad look on my face. I was smiling. I was happy. And I knew I would be able to pull that trick off on my own. I just needed a way to make it happen without Elijah getting angry at me. I was about to turn when Tracy caught a familiar scent in the tunnels. To my surprise, I was able to catch the scent of the lavender essences. That helped me catch Grace's scent as well. "The fuck! Is that Grace!" I growled angrily as I saw that bitch again.
"She sure is!" Tracy replied in an angry tone. While going in the direction of that forest, I didn't see that place before. It was a huge underground mansion. There were two big doors that were guarded by six guards.
I closed my eyes and let Tracy use her powers. Using all her senses combined, Tracy was able to watch whatever Grace was doing. "What the fuck is she doing here?" I asked Tracy in a low tone.
"Let's find out. We are following from here on." I replied to Tracy calmly. We were both curious to know what Grace was up to. It was our opportunity to find out why she was in New York when alpha Adam kicked her out for good.
Tracy stopped in front of those big doors and bowed her head in front of those guards. Tracy started laughing hysterically and I wanted to laugh too. That tough act was actually in front of Elijah. She was literally kissing the shoes of every single guard in front of the underground mansion. "Where is Don Casper?" Grace stood up and asked the guards in an impatient tone.
It looked like she was suddenly very determined to get whatever she wanted. As for me, I was watching everything with Tracy's senses. It was almost like she had dogs running after her. "He went on a trip to Spain. The Werecoyote you found worth trillions. He needed to go there to finalise the deal." The guards responded to Grace in an annoyed tone.
I almost gasped out loud as I heard the guards but thankfully, Tracy was controlling everything at that moment. I couldn't believe what they were actually planning. And that bitch told the mafia about my powers. Elijah had made a terrible mistake by trusting that bitch. "I'd Grey still here? I need to see him!" Grace asked the guards again.
Her question told me where Uncle Grey was there. I had a hunch. I crossed my fingers for the guards to answer that question of Grace's. "Yes, he is here. But Don Casper asked us to keep you away from him. The devil wolf wants the the gay as his slave." One of the guards replied to Grace in an annoyed tone.
I pumped my fist as I had actually found Uncle Grey on my own. "But I just need to talk to him." Grace asked the guards again but it looked like they were not in the mood to talk to her.
"You either leave or Don Casper has asked us to get rid of you. What's it gonna be?" One of the guards replied to her, growling at her angrily. Like the bitch she really was, the guards were treating her so disrespectfully. I just wish I could have recorded that all to show Elijah.
"Fine! I am leaving! But I will come back. And I will see him. I will talk to Don Casper myself." Grace growled angrily at the guards as she turned around to leave.
"Yeah yeah! He will be back in three days. You can come after he has come back. Get lost for now." A guard spoke in a low tone. That's when I opened my eyes. I couldn't believe it. The Moon Goddess suddenly gave me an opportunity to save the pack from Grace and the creatures mafia.
"Did you hear that? They have Grey! We found him." Tracy asked me in a low tine whole wiggling her tail excitedly.
"Yeah! But how are we going to rescue him when no one is looking for him?" I asked her in a low tone. Both Tracy and I were happy that we were able to find Uncle Grey. But at the same time, I couldn't help but wonder if we would get anyone to help us.
"For now! I have no idea. We need to get out before she gets out. I think Lily gave us these lavender flowers just for this moment. The question is, how in hell did she know?" After a while, I answered my own question after I looked at the bouquet in my hands. I had this feeling that Lily did everything on purpose. Like everything that happened that day, it was all meant to happen.
"Who the fuck cares? Get rid of your gown. We are running back." Tracy growled angrily at me. I was thinking too much. While she was thinking about getting out of there. I nodded my head and pulled the gown off of my body. I wrapped the bouquet in the gown. Tracy shifted and grabbed the gown in her mouth along with the bouquet. We were quiet but fast as we zoomed out of that place. But before we left, Tracy did something to make sure we would find that place again.
