THIRD PERSON'S POV:-
Grace was fanning her face with her hands while trying to stay calm. She knew that Elijah would suspect something. She had a hunch that there was something wrong. She felt it the moment she stepped into Elijah's apartment. She couldn't put a finger at whatever was wrong, but she knew the air was thick. "And what about me, Grace? Did you tell me that you were the one who got me abducted and got locked up in that dungeon?" Grace heard a familiar voice that made her heart stop for a minute.
With wide eyes, Grace turned around to look at the person who owned that voice. Grace's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she saw Grey walking towards her. Artemis was following after him. "You… h..h.. how di…d…did you g..get out?" Grace stuttered nervously as she saw her worst fear standing right in front of her, glaring straight into her eyes.
Grace was staring back and forth between all three faces that were inside the apartment. "Did you actually think you could get away with this? Did you think no one would know whatever you have been doing?" Artemis asked Grace in an angry tone. Grace thought she was winning that game. But she never knew what Artemis was capable of. Maybe, she just underestimated Artemis.
Grace was glaring at Artemis as if she was going to kill Artemis. Little did she know, Artemis had something special in her mind for her. "You slut! You were told to stop looking for him. You disobeyed your alpha. She disobeyed you, Elijah.". Grace yelled at Artemis as she no longer had any cards in her hands to play against Artemis.
Hearing Grace, Artemis started laughing hysterically. Grace actually thought she could scare Artemis with those laws and punishments. She was forgetting that the rules only applied to the werewolves of the pack. While Artemis was a Werecoyote. "You should know that disobeying alpha means you will be punished. Alpha will whip you in front of the pack." Grace yelled at Artemis as she saw her laughing at Grace.
"Unlucky for you, that rule applies on werewolves only. Other creatures are safe from that rule. I read all the diaries and rule books Alpha Adam had." Artemis replied to Grace in a calmed tone. Everything was starting to get into its place. Artemis didn't need to worry about anything anymore. Elijah knew everything.
Grace looked at Elijah to see if he was going to say anything to Artemis. After all the lies she filled in Elijah's head, she thought she could still control Elijah. But she was absolutely wrong. "Thankfully, I never listen to Elijah. I kept doing what I do best. You were the one who led me to Uncle Grey. So, thank you." Artemis added further in a low tone, taunting Elijah angrily.
All that long, she asked Elijah to trust her and let her do her work. But Elijah just didn't listen to her. He did whatever Grace wanted him to do. "Elijah! She did this all. She is doing everything to kick me out because you made me Luna." Grace cupped Elijah's face with both of her hands and tried to convince him that Artemis was playing that game just because she was jealous of Grace and her place as the Luna of the pack.
Artemis and Grey started laughing hysterically at Grace as they saw her struggling to make Elijah believe her lies yet again. She just didn't know when to quit. "It's no use, bitch. Uncle Grey told Elijah the truth. Everything that you did to that kind hearted man. The man who loved you but you never deserved him." Artemis informed Grace that her tricks were useless. Grey didn't just tell Elijah everything. He showed his nephew the evidence his father left behind. Evidence that his mother cheated on his father.
Elijah growled angrily as he pushed grace away from him. He didn't even want to look at Grace anymore. He just hated to look at his mother after learning the truth. "I can't believe it. I trusted you. It was all in front of my eyes. But I never believed it. I was a fool." Elijah yelled at his mother angrily.
Tracy was dancing because Artemis and Tracy were victorious yet again. They were able to pull it off on their own. Tracy was the only one looking for Grey. "FYI, Grace was the mastermind who sent Alisa here to burden you with the children of that wide wolf. Your mother was behind that too." Artemis added in a low tone. Grace never knew but Artemis had seen Grace meeting Alisa in the dungeon. Artemis knew what they talked about. She learned the truth back then. That's why she was determined to prove that Grace was lying to everyone.
Grace's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she heard Artemis. Grace thought she was able to shake Artemis off of the tail. But back then, Grace didn't know Artemis' true powers. "No! They are all lying. I told you. Your father did this to make sure I would never be happy. He told me he would never let me be happy." Grace tried to defend herself in front of Elijah. Grace knew Elijah would murder her if he would learn the face that it was Grace who had poisoned Artemis.
Grave tried to grab Elijah's hand. But Elijah slapped her hand away from his hand. "Stop lying, for once. For the love of God, you are here to destroy your own children. I can't believe I fell for it." Elijah yelled at his mother angrily. He grabbed Grace by her neck and pulled her up in the air.
Artemis walked towards Elijah and placed her hand on Elijah's wrist. Elijah turned his gaze towards Artemis and his anger started to calm down. "She is mine, Elijah. After everything, I will be the one to punish her and her accomplice. Both Alisa and Grace and mine to punish." Artemis spoke in a low tone. She couldn't let the pack deal with both Grace and Alisa.
She had decided something. Something she couldn't tell Elijah or anyone in the pack. She had to keep it quiet. As she was told, not many people would understand the reasons. Elijah nodded his head as he threw Grace on the ground. "I am Luna! You can do this to me. I order you all to bow in front of me. " Grace yelled at Artemis to make her submit.
"Not gonna work on me. You know why? Because I am not a werewolf. Let's settle this game of yours once and for all. Let me take you to your coconspirator." Artemis replied in a low tone as she grabbed Grace's hair and pulled them. Artemis made Grace get back up on her feet again.
As everything settled, Grey smiled widely. He was about to fall on the ground when Elijah caught him. "Uncle Grey! Are you alright?" Elijah asked his Uncle in a concerned tone. He looked thin and very weak.
Grey just smiled and nodded his head in response to Elijah's question. He didn't want to worry Elijah. "No! He is not. He hasn't eaten in days. You need to take him to Gregory." Artemis informed Elijah that Grey was not fine. A guilty look appeared on Elijah's face as he realised what he had actually done.
"Artemis!" Elijah called Artemis as she was about to take Grace away.
Artemis stopped but she didn't turn. She didn't want to look at Elijah. She didn't hate him. But she was tired of the mistakes Elijah always made. "Let's not discuss anything right now. I am too disturbed to talk about it for now." Artemis rudely replied to Elijah. Without waiting for his response, Artemis pulled Grace towards the elevator.
The elevator door closed. Artemis took Grace away. Elijah looked at Grey and smiled sadly. "I fucked up yet again, didn't I?" Elijah asked Grey in a sad tone. Elijah had broken Artemis' trust yet again.
---------------------------------------------------------
Artemis was standing in the forest. Grace and Alisa were in a cage that Artemis carried to that magical forest. Once she got to the forest, she called for Lily. After talking to Lily, Artemis knew that the best way to punish Grace and Alisa was to hand them both over to those magical creatures living in the magical forest. Lily stepped out of one of the trees. "Here they are! As I had promised you. Do whatever you want with them." Artemis spoke in a low tone while grinning mischievously.
Lily looked at both of the women in the cage. She smiled and walked towards Artemis. Lily patted Artemis' back proudly. "You are amazing. You did it all on your own." Lily complimented Artemis in a proud tone.
It was true. No one in the pack helped Artemis. At the very last moment, she asked Daniel. He also agreed if Artemis would take the full responsibility if they got caught. But she was glad that she found Lily. Lily helped Artemis to save the pack. And also her mate. "No! I had help. You helped me." Artemis replied to Lily shyly.
Lily looked at the tall tree behind her. She grabbed Artemis' hand but her eyes were on the tree. "Take them away. Make sure they are not comfortable." Lily ordered someone who was on the tree but Artemis couldn't see him.
"What about the babies?" Artemis asked in a concerned tone. Artemis knew that it was not the fault of the babies that their mother was a slut. It was not their fault that their mother opened her legs for everyone. That's why she asked Lily to protect the babies.
Lily was not surprised at all when she heard Artemis' question. Lily knew that Artemis was a very kind woman. That's why, it didn't surprise her when Artemis asked Lily about the future of the babies Alisa was carrying. "They will be raised by our kind. Forget about them. Tell me, what's going to happen to you and Elijah?" Lily replied to Artemis honestly. Then she asked Artemis what she wanted to do with Elijah.
Hearing that question, Artemis' face fell. She looked down while trying to think what she wanted. She was confused because she was not sure if she could forgive Elijah again. "I don't know. I am confused. I mean, I can't breathe without him. But because of what he did, I don't want to… I just don't know." Artemis replied to Lily in a low tone.
Artemis felt so helpless. Even Tracy was angry at Elijah this time. Elijah broke both of their hearts. And the worst part was that he didn't care back then. He didn't once ask Artemis if she had eaten or if her studies were going well. Hearing Artemis' response, Lily smiled widely. "You know exactly what you want. You want him in your life. That's why you didn't stop looking for Grey." Lily replied to Artemis in a low tone.
Unlike everyone else, Lily understood Artemis. Lily knew exactly what Artemis wanted to do. But she was just a little hesitant. "What should I do?" Artemis asked Lily. Artemis trusted Lily so much. The connection between Lily and Artemis was growing like a tree. They both trusted each other.
Hearing Artemis' question, Lily smiled widely and patted Artemis' head. "Silly girl! Go back to him. Make him regret all he did. But never let go. That's who you are. That's what you want." Lily replied to Artemis in a low tone. Lily reminded Artemis why Elijah was so special towards her. Artemis remembered that she wanted to be with Elijah for the rest of her life. They were together because Artemis wanted them to be together. They were together because it made Artemis happy.
A wide smile appeared on Artemis' face as she heard Lily. That's what she wanted m she wanted a push towards Elijah. She wanted someone to push her towards Elijah. That's what Lily just did for her. "Thank you. I thought I would lose him forever after this." Artemis thanked Lily for giving her the right advice.
"Oh, forget about everything else. Just go and talk to Elijah. You need to go and talk to him. You both belong together." Lily engorged Artemis to go and talk to Elijah. Artemis hugged Lily tightly. Then she pulled away and ran in the direction of their pack. Artemis had decided to keep on looking into those tunnels so she could know more of the secrets alpha Adam left behind. But that's all supposed to come after. Artemis didn't want to think about anything else. She wanted to make Elijah suffer a little. Then she wanted to hug him tightly and tell him that she had missed him so much.
