THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

　　The wolves of Marco's pack were beating Elijah mercilessly. They had rods in their hands. Some had bats. Marco was standing on the side, watching his pack members beating Elijah. Since his wolf was asleep, he couldn't do anything to stop them. His hands were tied behind his back. He had a leather bag on his head, covering his face. He was practically suffocating. "You are the only wall standing between me and that coyote. I will kill you today. And the coyote will be mine." Marco Elijah angrily.

　　Marco's men stepped away. Two men held Elijah with his arms. One of them pulled the bag off of his head. Marina gave Marco the silver sword. Marco walked towards Elijah. He placed the sword on Elijah's neck. Elijah winced in pain as his skin started to burn. "Now die, Alpha Elijah! Die, so I can take over your pack along with your precious little coyote." Marco growled at Elijah angrily.

　　Marco pulled the sword away from Elijah's neck. He was about to chop Elijah's head off. The blade was a few inches away from Elijah's neck when someone attacked Marco. A single kick sent Marco flying away from Elijah. Tracy kicked the man on the left by her back legs. She opened her jaws wide and grabbed the head of the other man in her jaws. Tracy snapped her jaws, ripped the brain of the other man out of his head. Marina stepped away from Tracy as she had already seen her anger.

　　Tracy spat the skull of the other man out of her mouth. Whimpering in pain, Tracy walked towards Elijah. She sat down on the ground and started licking Elijah's wounds to heal him faster. Two men of Marco's pack were about to jump on Elijah. Tracy turned her head towards those men. She howled so loudly, the woods shook with her howl. Marco shifted into his wolf. Tracy stood up and walked towards Marco.

　　Marco growled looking at Tracy. He jumped on Tracy, biting her back. Tracy arched her back like a cat then head-butted Marco's wolf. Marco's wolf fell on the ground with a loud thud. Marco's pack shifted into their wolves. Tracy howled again for her pack to get to the location.

　　Before Marco's pack could attack Tracy, her pack was there to back her up. Daniel's wolf held Marina under his paws. Tracy jumped back on Marco's wolf. She bit onto Marco's wolf's leg. Marco's wolf howled in pain. Emma jumped on Marco's wolf. She clawed his eyes out. Then she head-butted Marco's wolf. Marco's wolf fell on the ground, howling in pain. Tracy walked towards Marco.

　　Tracy was growling angrily as she remembered everything that Marco and his wife did to Artemis just to get whenever they wanted. Tracy stood on Marco's chest and grabbed his head in her jaws. She started pulling Marco's head. Tracy ripped Marco's head off of his body then threw it in front of Marco's pack. Tracy raised her head and howled loudly, for Marco's pack to know that she had defeated their alpha.

　　The pack backed away and immediately stopped fighting. Tracy let Artemis shift back. As Artemis was supposed to end Marina's life. Elijah pulled his shirt off of his body and threw it towards Artemis. Artemis covered her body with Elijah's shirt. Artemis grabbed the same sword from the ground that Marco was going to use to kill Elijah.

　　Tilting her head like a maniac, smiling like a massacre, Artemis walked towards Marina. Artemis knelt down on the ground, staring into Marina's eyes. "You tortured me for days. You kept me locked up like a dog. Just because your husband was fed up with your ugly ass and he was looking around for someone fresh." Artemis growled at Marina angrily. Artemis punched Marina hard.

　　Marina howled loudly. She was asking her pack to help her. "Oh! You actually think they will come to help you. They all submitted to me a while ago. The moment I took their alpha's head off. They will not be interfering in my business anymore. Do you know why? Because they submitted in front of me." Artemis showed Marina reality that she refused to look at.

　　Artemis stood up on her feet and held the sword in both of her hands like she was holding a katana. "Today, I will pay you the debt back along with the interest. So enjoy it." Artemis yelled at Marina. She swung the sword and sliced Marina's head. Artemis turned around to look at Marco's pack members. They all bowed down in front of Artemis. All Elijah's pack members shifted back into their human forms.

　　Artemis walked towards Elijah. She sat down on the ground and laid his head on her lap. Breathing heavily, Elijah closed his eyes for a while. Elijah's pack started cleaning up the place so the humans wouldn't find out about their truth. Elijah sat up on the ground and looked at Artemis. "I am so sorry, baby girl. Every time I promise you something and I break that promise within a few months. I…" Elijah was apologising to Artemis in a guilty tone but Artemis didn't let him complete.

　　"We will discuss it on the date. I can forgive you if you are willing to let me cook for you tomorrow night? At my mother's place, with my family, what do you say, Eli?" Artemis smiled and asked Elijah for a romantic date.

　　Elijah bit his lower lip as he was also very excited to take her on a romantic date again. It had been long since he had taken Artemis out. "I would like the idea very much. But you have to bake that fruit cake of yours. You know how much I like it." Elijah replied to Artemis in a low tone. Excited to cook for Elijah for the first time, Artemis wrapped her arms around him. She had missed that Elijah very much. And she wanted him back.

　　Artemis pulled away from Elijah and started licking his wounds. One after another, Artemis licked all of Elijah's wounds. Once his wounds healed up, Artemis helped him up on his feet again. Elijah cupped her face with both of his hands and pecked her forehead lovingly. He was grateful that he didn't lose his baby girl.

　　Artemis stepped out of the bathroom and went straight into her bedroom. Ryan was already waiting for her there. "Thank goodness you are here. Now tell me, what should I wear? Backless purple long chokers neck dress? Or peach colour short halter dress. My heels will go with both of them." Artemis asked Ryan in a confused tone. The Moon hadn't risen up. She knew she had a while until the pack would go on hunt.

　　Ryan grabbed both of the dresses and took it towards Artemis. Artemis stood in front of the full view mirror. Ryan held both dresses one after another in front of Artemis. "Yeah! This purple one is not for you. Amira is very bad at these things. This halter dress is beautiful. It's made for you." Ryan replied to Artemis' question. He left the dresses on the bed and walked towards the door. Ryan gave Artemis a thumbs up as he stepped out of her room.

　　Artemis quickly applied some make-up on her face. She curled up her hair then wore her dress. She applied jasmine cologne that Elijah had gifted her on their last date. Artemis couldn't believe that it had been a year already. Artemis started living with Elijah eleven months ago.

　　That's why she decided to celebrate that night with Elijah. It was the night when she saw Elijah for the first time. It was the very night she was bitten. The bell suddenly ran and Artemis held her breath. She was ready and she was excited to see Elijah. "Ari! It must be Elijah! You better come down now. Don't make him wait anymore." Amy yelled from downstairs as she went to open the door. Artemis looked at her reflection for the last time.

　　Smiling widely, Artemis stepped out of her bedroom. She went downstairs, smiling excitedly. Her eyes fell on her family and she frowned in confusion. She saw grim looks on everyone's faces. She stepped into the living room and her eyes went wide.

　　She saw her father sitting on a couch. Her father stood up and walked towards Artemis. "I have finally found you. My sweet little daughter, I have been looking for you for a year. I didn't know they abducted you." Her father spoke as he wrapped his arms around her. Artemis growled angrily and pushed her father away from her.

　　"You son of a bitch! No one abducted me. I came here on my own free will. As I am 18 now. You don't own my freedom anymore. I can live and stay wherever I want." Artemis yelled at her father angrily. She couldn't contain her anger anymore.

　　Her father started laughing as he heard Artemis. Artemis frowned in confusion as she was not sure why her father was laughing at her. "I knew you would do it one day. I knew you were growing wings. But I made sure I would be able to chop your wings off." Her father spoke in a low tone as he went towards the couch again and sat down.

　　Artemis' heart started pounding inside her chest as she heard that. "I have a bad feeling about this, Artemis. That son of a bitch did something." Tracy spoke in a low tone as she also started to have a bad feeling about that smirk on her father's face.

　　"I feel the same. But let's stay positive. What can he do? He is just a mere human. We can eat him alive." Artemis replied to Tracy while glaring at her father. She wanted to tear that man apart. But Artemis wanted to know what he actually did.

　　"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" Artemis asked her father again. She was practically growling at her father. And Tracy was also ready to come out anytime to eat that man alive.

　　Artemis'father started laughing evilly as he heard Artemis' questions. "I mean… well, I wanted to say. If you haven't noticed, someone is missing from this new family of yours." He replied to Artemis in a calmed tone.

　　Artemis' eyes widened as she heard her father. The last thing she wanted was for her family to get hurt. She looked around and gasped loudly in shock. "Papa! What did you do to him, you fucking bastard?" Artemis asked her father angrily. She cursed at her father.

　　Her father stood up as he heard Artemis' disrespectful words. He was about to raise his hand at Artemis. Artemis grabbed his hand then twisted his arm behind his back. "Keep your hands in control. Try hitting me again and I will have your arm roasted. What did you do to papa?" Artemis warmed her father then she asked about Victor again. She pushed her father away. She didn't want to be anywhere near that man.

　　Artemis' father fell on the ground with a loud thud. He stood up and dusted his clothes as if nothing happened. "He is locked up in jail. And he will not be getting out until you come with me. Now it's your choice. You want to come with me or you want your PAPA to rot in jail?" Her father replied to Artemis while grinning ear to ear.

　　"That bastard! He did it on purpose. Full moon rises within two hours. The whole pack is at stake, Artemis." Tracy growled angrily as she heard Artemis' father. Artemis' eyes were also wide in shock.

　　Artemis gritted her teeth angrily and clenched her fists. She knew that Tracy was right. "Call the police, set him free. I am coming with you." Artemis replied to her father in a low tone. Smiling at his victory, her father pulled his phone out to call the police and take his case back.

　　"Artemis, no! Don't let him control you anymore." Amy yelled at Artemis as she knew well what her father and her stepmother did to her.

　　Artemis took a deep breath and walked towards Amy. She wrapped her arms around Amy and hugged her tightly. "Amy! Full moon is about to rise soon. I can't do this to you all. Besides, he can't control me anymore. I have Tracy. And he is just a human." Artemis whispered in Amy's ear.

　　Artemis pulled away from any and winked at her. Amy sighed in relief and nodded her head. "It's done! He will be home in ten minutes. Let's go!" Her father called her again.

　　Artemis turned around and followed her father. They stepped out of the house. A car was waiting for them already. Her father held open the door of the car for her. Artemis hopped into the car. Her father shut the door and walked away. "Let me know if Papa is safe, Ryan. If not, he will be dying while we are on our way to his hell." Artemis whispered but Ryan heard her loud and clear.

　　"I will! You take care of yourself, Ari." Ryan replied to Artemis in a concerned tone. Artemis turned her head and with Tracy's eyes, she watched her family staring at the car. With a smile on her face, Artemis nodded her head. Her father hopped into the car and the driver drove away.

　　"I didn't even let Elijah know that I love him." Artemis thought as tears started flowing freely from her eyes.
