CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Bella grew tired of staying in her bedroom all day. The servants made sure she ate and slept as many times as Diana commanded. Her room was spacious and beautifully decorated. She was even surprised when Diana told her with time it would be arranged to her taste. That almost made Bella laugh because she actually had no taste. All her life, she had own a crappy cold bedroom in her master's house and she was contented with it. The bedroom she currently occupied was more than enough and she needed no further decorations.

  It was perfect.

She quietly stepped down from her bed an tiptoed out of her bedroom, with the aim of taking a stroll around the castle.

She had no idea she was in Achilles' chambers.

Once she got out of the bedroom, she closed the door behind her and took the hallway on her left, which led her into a large living room.

"Wow!" She exclalined in fascination with both eyes and mouth side open. Her master's living room was nothing compared to this. From the heavy drapes that hung on the walls to the expensive couches and rug. The wine bar at the North corner of the room had all sorts of expensive wines and whiskeys in it. Everything looked so damn expensive and she was impressed.

The Royal family was indeed very rich.

She took calm, calculated steps around the living room as she admired the portraits that hung on the wall. She could see that of Diana, Achilles and even Alexander and that's when it struck her that it had been a few years since Alexander left the pack and never returned. She wondered if he was ever going to return.

"What are you doing here?" A deep masculine voice demanded, causing Bella to squirm in fear. She quietly turned around to look who it was and when she saw Achilles, she hastily bowed her head down and fiddled with her fingers.

"Alpha Achilles" She acknowledged with a tiny voice. Achilles peered at her innocent face and his heart ached at what he was about to do.

"I have asked you a question Bella, what are you doing in here? You are supposed to be in your bedroom" He demanded with a hunt of irritation that made Bella very frightened. His words were bitter and the manner in which he was glaring at her sent chills running down her backbone.

His looks were so intimidating and she wished the ground would open and swallow, but that never happened.

She had to face the furious Alpga all alone. She only hoped that she wouldn't faint.

"Actually… I… got bored, so I decided to go out for a walk ..'"

"Decided? What makes you think you have the power to make decisions here?" Achilles asked annoyed, but Bella didn't say a word. She just kept playing with her fingers.

"Look here Bella, you are only here because of that child you are carrying and that doesn't give you the right to go about acting like you are some boss around here, because you are not! The moment you have this child, you will go back to where you came from, is that understood?"

  "Yes Alpha"

"Henceforth, you only leave that bedroom when you are asked to do so. Now get out of my side!" He ordered and Bella immediately scampered away from his intoxicating presence like a scared rodent.

She ran across the hallway to the staircase where she quickly descended and dashed out of the building. The destination she had in mind was the woods. That was the only place that could calm her down at the moment.

A while ago, she had thought she was finally going to get a better life, but after the conversation with Achilles, it came to her understanding that things were never going to get better for her. Achilles hated her to the core and he planned to send her away once she gave birthed to their child.

That was an awful thing for him say. She had no idea what she had done for him to loathe her so much. None of the things happening were her making and he's didn't like being in that situation either.

She wished that night had never happened and that she wasn't pregnant. She prefered being a slave in her mater's house, at least she was used to the treatment.

Alpha Achilles being a mean jerk to her was totally uncalled for it hurt her very much. Not only because he was being mean to her, but because he was being mean to their unborn child as well. The innocent baby did not deserve the all the hate he was giving them.

She sat a fallen tree trunk the woods and wiped away the few tears that had managed to escape from her eyes.

"He has no right to be so mean to me…" She murmuerd with sharp breaths. "I never wanted to be in this situation either. Pregnancy has always been the last thing on my mind. Why is he acting like this is all my fault?" She wondered audibly within sobs as she strived to wipe the tears that kept running down her cheeks.

Nothing decent ever happened in her life. It was always from one catastrophe to the next and she wondered what she had done to merit such an arduous life. Everything happening was too much for her to bear.

The sound of snarling wolves snapped her out of her downing thoughts. She spun abruptly to look what' was going on and her soul left her body when she saw three wolves glaring at her with their yellow eyes and bellowing with saliva drooling from their mouths. They looked like they were about to shred her into peices.

The wolves had unusual scents and that instantly ascertained her suspicion of them being rogues.

That was the end for her.

She quickly rose up from the tree trunk and faced the wolves who were growling at her. She knew running in her human form would be a waste of time, so she tried to shapeshift into her wolf form, but she felt her wolf restricting her and that's when it dawned on her that she was pregnant and so she would not be able to shapeshift into her wolf form.

"No!" She muttered in fear as she began taking steps backwards. If she could not shapeshift into her wolf form and try to run away of defend herself atleast, then it was over for her. The scoundrels were going to slice her into pieces.

As she walked backwards, the wolves began approaching her and their growls became louder and more menacing.

Her chest rose and fell with rapid breaths as she unconsciously rubbed her yummy with her hands. She suddenly felt the need to want to stay alive for the child. She didn't want the rogues to hurt her baby.

The wolves soon surrounded her and there was nothing more she could do. She looked around in fear, hoping that someone would come from nowhere and save her.

The first was calm and deserted, so she doubted if that wish of hers would come to pass.

As one wolf charges towards her, she fell to the ground and covered her head with her hands as she waited for her end. She waited for the wolves to hop on her and rip her apart but that did not happen. Instead, she heard a loud howl from one of the wolves, followed by bones breaking and hungry snarls. She lifted her head up and watched in horror as a mighty wolf took down the three werewolves without breaking a single sweat.

In less than no time, the werewolves were killed by the big wolf which was no doubt an Alpha wolf!

The wolf gave Bella a hard glare before howling out loud and walking away into the woods.

Bella had no idea who that was. That wolf didn't look like Alpha Achilles' wolf. She was certain he wasn't the one. Who ever that was, she was grateful to him for saving her life that of her unborn child.

As she rose to her feet, she felt like all her energy had been drained from her body. Sfe felt weak and her legs were wobbly. Her knees grew tired and could hardly support her weight do they gave way for her to fall to the ground, but before she she dropped down, strong, muscular arms clutched her waist and held her still on her feet.

"I've got you love, I've got you" The strange man guaranteed her as her scooped her into his arms.

His scent was familiar and that meant he was a pack member and Bella trusted that he won't hurt her so she didn't struggle to fight him. She quietly snuggled into his muscular arms and made herself confortable.

The young man was shotned at her trust in him and that make him cackle. She was the cutest thing he had ever come across.

"Achilles will have to explain to me why he let the woman carrying his child to roam about in the woods at this time of the night. That spoiled bastard!"

The strange man mumbled to himself as he marched towards the castle.
