Achilles spent the entire day brooding in his bedroom. The guilt he felt would not let him step to see anyone. Diana telling him she was disappointed in him was just the last straw and he had no idea what he should do with himself.

　　He knew facing Alex would be the worst because he would chastise him about how poorly he had acted. Bella on the hand would not even want to see him.

　　He had committed an abominable act and felt so ashamed of himself. Never in his life had he imagined that he would raise his hand against a woman, let alone against the woman who was carrying his child.

　　"I'm nothing but a brute!" He cursed as he ran his fists into the wall.

　　"You know that won't stop the guilt you feel in your heart" A voice spoke from behind and he recognized that voice to be Diana's. He tiredly placed his head on the wall and let the tears fall freely. "Now, she hates me"

　　"No, she doesn't " Diana responded as he walked over to him. "She doesn't hate you, she's just disappointed and I'm very sure you can remedy that situation"

　　"And what exactly can I do? You very well saw how she withdrew from my touch last night. She loathes me!" Achilles lamented and Diana looked at him in pity.

　　"Achilles" She called as she held his big arms and urged him to look at her, which he did. "It was only normal for Bella to react that way. Remember you hurt her, you hurt her very much and she was furious, but I tell you what, she will be even more furious if you do not go in there and talk to her. I can bet my life that she is waiting for you, so I'd advise you to go and have a heart to heart talk with her. Tell her you are sorry and mean it. She's going to forgive you and you two can start over from there" She advised and Achilles gave her a hopeful glance.

　　"Are you sure about that?" He asked and she shot him a confident smile.

　　"Like I Said before, I can bet my life on that. Just go and see for yourself " She encouraged, but Achilles hesitated.

　　He had no idea how he was going to go about it because he had never had to beg a woman before.

　　"Alright then, I'll do as you have advised"

　　"Good. You should go now, she's having a talk with Alex…"

　　"Alex? What the hell is Alex doing in her bedroom?" He asked furiously as he barged out of his bedroom and headed straight to Bella's room which was just a few doors away from his. When he got there, he impatiently swung the door open causing both Alex and Bella to turn abruptly to look at who just mannerless barged in.

　　Once his eyes left with Bella's, he stopped in his tracks and inhaled deeply. He was angry to see his brother there, but he did not want to cause a scene before Bella. He was already on her black list and he did not want to make things worse by attacking Alex in her presence, so he chose to stay calm, even though he did want to do so.

　　"So, you finally decided to show up," Alex said as he rose from the bed and walked towards him.

　　"As a matter of fact, yes, I have," he said between his teeth. His anger was very much noticeable by Alex who just laughed and gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder.

　　"Make sure you don't make matters worse, brother." He cautioned and exited the bedroom. Alex looked at the door he had just exited and gulped down the anger that had risen up his throat.

　　This was his chance to make things right with Bella and he wasn't going to ruin it by harboring angst for his brother.

　　"Bella" He called as he turned to face Bella who was sitting on the bed looking all pregnant and beautiful.

　　"Yes, Alpha Achilles." She responded calmly and Achilles took slow calculated steps over to the bed where she was seated. When he was close, he lowered himself to the bed and sat by her side.

　　Her beautiful eyes were as radiant as the sun and her entire body was glowing. Pregnancy really looked good on her.

　　"Did you have a good night's sleep?" He asked calmly.

　　"Not really, I was thinking all night" She responded sincerely.

　　"Me too" Achilles said and a brief moment of silence followed.

　　Bella had no idea why he was in her bedroom, talking nicely to her, but she liked it and she hoped he had come to apologize to her.

　　"Bella, I would like to know why you wanted to abort our child. Please" Achilles asked calmly and Bella bowed down her head and played with her fingers.

　　When she made the decision to abort the child, her reason made so much sense and she was convinced that she was doing the right thing, but at that moment, she felt like she had been very foolish and irrational. She was going to kill an innocent child for absolutely no reason and just the thought of it jabbed her heart like a thousand daggers.

　　"Well, what I know is that the reason makes no sense and I was wrong to ever think of doing such a thing"

　　"I still want to hear the reason, Bella. Please tell me" He insisted and Bella raised her head to look at him.

　　"Alpha you have not been very nice to me ever since I've got here. Deep down in your heart, you feel like I seduced you to sleep with me which is not the case. You are ashamed of the fact that a mere servant is carrying your child and I can bet that you cannot wait to get rid of me. All this accusation and rejection gets to me. Not that I haven't faced a similar thing all my life, but now it's different because I'm pregnant and my hormones are all over the place. You have no idea how bad I feel whenever you talk about wanting to choose a wife for yourself. I don't know why, but it hurts me to the core and last but not the least, it seems Alpha D'argan knows about this pregnancy and he's not happy about it. I feel like there's something you all are not telling me, something dangerous. All those prompted me to do what I was about to do. You have no idea the thoughts that are running in my mind everyday" She explained and by the time she was done, she was sobbing violently.

　　Guilt was written all over Achilles' face and he felt ashamed of himself and of his actions.

　　"I'm sorry" He mumbled. " I have been selfish and insensitive towards you all this while and I am sincerely sorry. I was confused and mad at all that happened, but I had no right to take it out on you. I mean you are the one who received the highest impact, I'm really sorry Bella" He apologized sincerely and Bella quietly nodded her head as she pursed her lips.

　　"I want to let you know that I care very much about our little munchkin and of you of course. You two are always on my mind and I will do anything I can to make sure you are doing alright. Henceforth, I promise to be more humane towards you, I promise to treat you better, because that is what you deserve." He asserted as he leaned closer to her and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

　　Bella could not believe that was happening. Alpha Achilles just apologized to her and kissed her forehead.

　　It felt like a dream come true.

　　"Thank you for saving me back there. Those rogues would've devoured I'm me if you had not showed up"

　　"It's my duty and I will always be around to save you, but you have to promise me that you will never go in there alone. Please Bella, don't go roaming the woods at night, it's dangerous!"

　　"I promise I won't"

　　"Come here" He lay on the bed and took her into his big comfortable arms.

　　"Can I know why Alpha D'argan sent that threatening message?" She asked calmly as she disengaged herself from the cudddle and sat upright, giving him a serious look. Achilles heaved out a heavy sigh of defeat as he sat upright on the bed and caressed his forehead with his fingers. There was no turning away from it at that moment. He had no choice but to tell her all that she needed to know.

　　"Do you remember what happened fifteen years ago? I mean the massacre."

　　"Of course I do"

　　"Good and by now, you must have been told that Diana is a witch"

　　"Ah, yeah… she told me a few days ago and I was stunned!"

　　"Yes, she is. You see, the moon goddess is planning our redemption and what happened between us, this child you are carrying is the beginning and the end of this redemption. Remember a curse infertility was placed on all the she-wolves and we all lost our ability to detect our mates as well. This curse will be broken and Alpha D'argan will die the day this child is born" He explained and Bella's eyes popped wide open in complete shock. She furrowed her eyebrows as she gave him a critical look and he chuckled. "I knew you'd react this way."

　　"So Alpha D'argan sent that message because he knows about this and that means I'm in trouble, he's going to come for me and the baby" Bella panicked and Achilles gently held her face in his palms and urged her to look at him.

　　"Yes, he will, but I swear on my life that I will not let him get to you. Diana, Alex and I will make sure that never happens I swear" He assured and she believed him.

　　He had saved her two times; unexpectedly, she trusted him to protect her from the tyrant who had plans of killing their unborn child.

　　"You mean to say that when I give birth, everything will go back to normal, we get to find mates and the women become fertile again?" She asked curious and Achilles quietly shrugged his shoulders.

　　"That's what it seems"

　　"I can't believe I almost destroyed all that. Henceforth I promise to take good care of myself. I won't do anything reckless" She promised sincerely.

　　"You have no idea how relieved I am to hear this. We are all in this together." He assured her.

　　"I can bet there's going to be a big fight"

　　"There is, but I can…" Achilles' words were interrupted by Diana's screaming voice in his head. She was trying to mindlink him and she screaming like something bad had happened to her.

　　He jumped down from the bed a d sat up straight to focus on what she was trying say

　　"Diana will you stop screaming in my mind abd tell me what is going on? Are we under a rogue attack?" Achilles asked panicking and Diana just kept screaming in his mind.

　　"Achilles, I'm bleeding!" Diana screamed and immediately Achilles dashed out of the bedroom.
