Alex, Achilles and Tony were all seated in Achilles'office, patiently waiting for Diana to return. None of them had said a single word to each other ever since she left. They were all lost in deep thought.

　　Achilles kept thinking about Bella. He had not laid eyes on her ever since the attack. The time he went to check on them, Diana told him she had put Bella to sleep and ad iced not to wake her up.

　　He wanted to see her and make sure that shee was doing okay, but also, he knew it was very important for her to rest.

　　A gentle knock on the door snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked up as Tony went to take check who it was. Once he opened the door, Achilles' heart missed a beat when he saw Bella standing by it, looking all gloomy and sad. Alex sat up from his seat to go and meet her, but Achilles beat him to it. Alex was shocked at his speed.

　　"Are you alright?" Achilles inquired as he took her into his arms and lead her into the office. Tony closed the door behind them as they walked over to the sitting area.

　　"Why are you all sitting in here? Is everything alright?" She asked and Achilles looked at the guys before putting her to sit on the couch.

　　"It's just a meeting about the attack earlier"

　　"Did they come for me?" Bella asked nervous as Achilles put her to sit on the couch.

　　Alex swallowed dryly when he saw how much she clinging to Achilles. For some odd reason, he did not like it and he felt jealous that Achilles was holding her.

　　"Baby, you don't have to worry about that"

　　"Achilles I'm scared" Bella cried and Achilles took her into his arms and calmly stroke her hair.

　　"You don't have to be. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I swear." He guaranteed her. He turned to look at Alex but the moment their gazes met, Alex jealousy looked away and gritted his teeth. He wanted to be the one holding Bella in his arms and assuring her that everything was going to be alright.

　　"Diana is here" Tony notified as Diana hastily walked into the office. When she spotted Bella, she froze on her tracks and looked at her in surprise.

　　"You are up" She said with a smile.

　　"Diana, if you ever knock me out again like that, we'll have a real fist fight when I wake." Bella warnied seriously causing Diana to chuckle in amusement.

　　"What did she do?" Achilles asked confused.

　　"She just held my palms and mumbled some incherent words and before I knew it, I was falling to the ground. She sent me into some magical sleep" Bella complained and Achilles gave Diana a frantic stare.

　　"Come on, don't look at me like that. I did it for her own good. She kept worrying about you and Alex and I got tired of listen to her fuss. I have no choice but to send her into deep sleep to save her the stress"

　　"But that could be dangerous to her"

　　"Do you honestly thing I'll do anything to harmful to Bella and baby, really Achilles?"

　　"Whatever!" Achilles said rolling his eyes. "Just don't do that next time"

　　"Bla bla bla"

　　"Can we just ride on with what we are supposed to be doing?" Alex asked disgruntled and Diana gave him a curious glance. She was surprised to see Alex acting all irritated about what was going on. He was always a fan of distraction.

　　"Of course we can" She concurred with a smile.

　　"So, did you speak with grandma?" Alex asked and Diana broke into a wide smile when she remembered all the praises their grandmother had showered on her.

　　On her part, she didn't really see the big deal about all that she had done, but the way her grandma had spoken about it made her understand that all what she was doing was huge and greatly appreciated. It made her feel special and she was determined to do even more.

　　"Well… I spoke to grandma and it turns out my guess was wrong"

　　"As in?" Alex asked curious.

　　"We weren't ratted out" Diana clarified.

　　"If we weren't ratted out, then how did Alpha D'argan know about Bella and the baby?" Tony asked.

　　"About that, grandma told me something very disturbing"

　　"What did she say?"

　　"Alpha D'argan has a wizard who practices black magic working with him. He tells him important information about us and that's how he was able to find out about Bella"

　　"That… that isn't good, is it?" Achilles inquired a bit shaken. He hated the fact that Bella was there to listen to all that. She was only to get more frightened about the whole crisis.

　　"Well, it isn't. Because as of now, we have no idea how much he knows about us or what he is planning behind our backs "

　　"Well he told us. The rogues and soldiers he sent today are a message " Achilles pointed out. "And do not be surprised that sooner or later that wizard of his will break the boundary spell and he will evade this pack with his battalions. I'm not saying I'm afraid, but if that happens, we will lose a lot of subjects and that is something I do not want."

　　"No body wants that Achilles "

　　"Didn't grandma at least give us a plan or tell us what we have to do? We can't just sit here and wait for our doom to down on us?"

　　"Grandma said I should focus on protecting bella and also keep you two" She said pointing from Alex to Achilles. "From killing each other. What you do doesn't end here, imagine how dissapointed mum and dad are right now seeing how you two fight like toddlers all the damn time!" She reprimanded and Alex and Achilles looked at each other in guilt. "You two can make my work easier by not fighting all the damn time! And for the wizard, do not worry about him, I'm going to figure out how to deal with him."

　　"Are you sure?"

　　"Yes, I am. Now take Bella to bed, she needs to rest well for the spell I put on her to wear off. Tony, you too are free to leave, the meeting is over. Alex you stay, we have have something to discuss about" She instructed and immediately, Tony rose on his feet and left the office.

　　Achilles on the other looked from Alex to Diana as he tried to figure out what it was they wanted to talk about in his absence.

　　"So, this thing you want to talk about doesn't involve me?" He asked looking around.

　　"You narcissistic wanker. Do you think everything in this world revolves around you? it doesn't. So you can leave" Diana demanded and he grudgingly exited the bedroom with Bella still in his arms.

　　In his mind, he knew she was up to something at that thing had to do with him.

　　Once everyone was out, Diana walked over to the door looked at the corridors to make sure no one was around. When she saw that the hallways were void of humans, she locked the door and turned to look at Alex who was staring at her in bafflement. He had no idea why she wanted to talk to him alone.

　　"I'm about to piss on my pants because of nervousness. Please don't tell me I got a message from grandma" He said and Diana laughed as she walked over to him.

　　"No silly! This has got nothing to do with magic" She clarified and Alex let out a dramatic sigh.

　　"Thank God. So, what is it about?" He asked quietly and he even got more uncomfortable when Diana smiled.

　　"Well, what do you think about Achilles and Bella getting together?" She asked with a wide smile and when the question hit Alex's eardrums, his heart fell into his abdomen. All his nerves in his body tensed and his entire body grew hot. He shot Diana a piercing gaze as his eyes darkened.

　　"What about them?" He asked icily, but Diana was too engrossed in her excitement to notice his cold tone.

　　"You know, from the first day I saw Bella at the banquet, I had liked her dor Achilles. When the incident happened between them, I was very happy and I have always rooted for them to get together, but Achilles… well… Achilles is Achilles. He doesn't want that to happen and I don't know why"

　　"Achilles has his reasons" Alex told her flatly.

　　"And I know those reasons. I just don't think they are good enough. I mean, he cares for her, I'm sure you can see it."

　　"He cares for her doesn't mean he loves and wants to be with her. He only cares for her because of that child she is carrying, nothing else. Can't you see?" He asked slightly annoyed. He hated the direction in which the talk was going.

　　"Come on Alex, you cannot be that blind. This is more than care. Achilles is in love with Bella, he wants to be with her, but his pride won't let him" Diana disclosed.

　　Alex instantly looked away from her gaze and swallowed hard as he tried to assimilate what she had just toled him. He had suspected that, but Achilles actions towards Bella made him think otherwise.

　　He honestly thought that Achilles did not love Bella and that's why he did not want to marry her.

　　"Why do you say so?" He finally asked.

　　"The way he looks at her. The way he talks about her. Remeber that day she was bleeding? He almost lost his mind. Do you think anyone will panic that much for someone they don't love? Just recall how tightly he was holding Bella close to him a while ago. He is in love with Bella but he doesn't want to confess it to anyone of us. I don't know if he has admitted that to himself in the first place." She explained and Alex began pacing around the room.

　　What Diana just said made a lot If sense. He recalled the look on Achilles's face when he saw him and Bella in the kitchen last night. He looked annoyed and jealous.

　　Also, when Bella had showed at the door a while ago, the speed at which Achilles fled to the door to get her, intrigued him.

　　Achilles was indeed in love with Bella.

　　"Well, I think you are right. He loves her, he just doesn't want to admit it to any of us"

　　"I'm happy you are getting this. We both know Achilles is quite stubborn and he has always been the one to only accept something when he is faced with the threat of loosing that thing" Diana explained further and Alex looked at her, a bit perplexed.

　　"Meaning?"

　　"Well, Achilles will never admit his feelings for Bella and marry her except he is faced with a threat of losing her to someone else. A third party has to come in"

　　"As in someone who will threaten to take Bella away from him?"

　　"Exactly!"

　　"Are you crazy? Which man in this entire Pack will have the nerve to fight a girl with Achilles? The almighty Alpha?" He asked chuckling.

　　"Well, I know someone who will fight with him over anything. Someone who has been fighting with him all his life!" Diana pinpointed as she looked at him straight in the eye with a mischievous smile plastered on her face.

　　Alex stopped chuckling when he it dawned on him that Diana was referring to him.

　　He took a step away from her and laughed hard.

　　"No way! No! I deny!" He denied flatly. "I refuse to be apart of this soap opera."

　　"Come on Alex, you are the perfect competitor. Bella likes you, she is comfortable around you. All you have to do is grow closer to her and make Achilles jealous. Once he has had enough, he will confess his feelings and do things the way they have to be done. Please. Pretty please" Diana Pleaded with her best puppy face and Alex exhaled heavily.

　　"Diana…"

　　"Please… please… please…"

　　"Fine ! Fine … I will do it. Juts, stop making that face already. It's creeping me out" He cried ad walked out of the office.

　　What he was about to do actually pained him because he himself was in love Bella and he wanted her for himself.
