Alex was still greatly offended about what Achilles had done that afternoon. He was in the middle of having a very interesting conversation with Bella, but Achilles suddenly showed from nowhere and interrupted everything.

　　The only thing that stopped him from fighting back was Bella's presence. As he watched Achilles carry her from his side, he wanted to stop him and give him a heavy punch in the face, but he did not want to act violently in Bella's presence so he decided to let it go.

　　He hated how Achilles always won her over

　　"Alex" He heard Diana call, but he did not turn to look at her. When he had agreed to get close to Bella to make Achilles jealous, he had no idea things were going to get so intense. He thoughts his feelings for Bella weren't that deep, but after all what had been taking place, he had come to the realization that he was deeply in love with Bella and the game he was playing was getting him even more jealous than Achilles.

　　"Alex" Diana called again and this time around, he turned to face her. She had on a bright smile and he knew she was there to get updates on how the walk went and how Achilles had reacted to the situation.

　　She had no idea Alex was in love with Bella, so she did not know the entire game was more than torture for him.

　　"How did it go?" She asked with enthusiasm Gilles in her voice. Alex calmly shrugged his shoulders.

　　"It went okay. I mean Achilles showed up when we were in the middle of an interesting conversation and swept her away." He explained carelessly.

　　Diana was so happy that she could not feel the sadness in her brother's words. The only thing she was concerned about was getting Achilles and Bella to get together. Nothing else.

　　"For real?" She squealed in excitement. "If he took her away that means he was drop dead jealous. Wow bro, you are good at this game, aren't you?" She jubilated, but none of that moved Alex. He was still as bleak as ever.

　　He picked up his overall from the couch and wore on his body before turning to look at Diana once more.

　　"He called for a meeting in his office, let's be on our way" He notified as he began walking out of the bedroom. Diana quietly followed as she began wondering why Alex was not excited like she had speculated, but she decided to push it at the back of her mind.

　　"Maybe he's just having a rough day" She thought as she followed him closely hehind without uttering another word.

　　When they arrived at Achilles'office, they were surprised to see Achilles, Bella and Tony already waiting for them. Diana smiled and waved at them as she walked in, but Alex just walked straight to one of the couches and sat down.

　　Achilles rose from his chair and walked up infront of his table where he leaned on it and examined their looks with a tiny smile forming at the side of his lips.

　　Tony looked confused as usual because he was clueless of what they were about to discuss.

　　Bella looked worried, she had begged him to tell him what it is he wanted to tell them, but he refused and told her she'd only hear it during the meeting.

　　Alex looked murderous and he knew exactly why he was in that state, but he cared less.

　　Diana on the other hand was smiling like a five-year old who has just been gifted lots of candy by their favourite uncle.

　　Over all, the atmosphere in the office was tense. Just the way he liked it.

　　"Alex and I spoke this morning" He finally broke the silence and everyone shifted their gazes to him. "He asked me something very striking, something I have never thought of, but it's very important*

　　"What was the question?" Tony inquired.

　　"He asked me if I had any idea why the moon goddess chose Bella to be the woman to carry the redeemer of our pack"

　　"Well that's simple, Bella is a good girl and has got a pure heart, the Moon goddess definitely chose her because she posseses those qualities " Diana explained.

　　"I know that, but what if there's more to Bella than what meets the eye?" He asked and both Diana and Tony eyed Bella before looking at him again.

　　"What do you mean?" Diana asked.

　　"Well, the only thing we know about Bella, is the fact that she used to work as a servant for the Donovans and nothing else. No idea who her parents are or what family she could have come from. What if her background is the reason why she was chosen. Not that it's that necessary, but it'll be nice to uncover the mistery behind all this" He further explained and Diana calmy nodded her head.

　　"Well that makes a lot of sense. I have never really thought about it, but now that it has been mentioned, I am curious to know. If we have to look at it critically, it's obvious that the moon goddess didn't just chose Bella because she was pure and kindhearted. I mean, I was pure and I'm sure there are many other she-wolves in this pack who are just as pure and kind hearted as she is. There's definitely some other reason why she chose Bella" Diana expatiated.

　　"Bella" Achilles called and Bella looked up at him.

　　She had not uttered a single word since the meeting began and she truly had nothing to say to either of them.

　　"Achilles" she whispered.

　　"Do you by any chance know from which family you hail in this pack?" Achilles asked softly and Bella calmly shook her head.

　　"No… all I know is that I was born in the Donovan household where my mother used to be a slave as well. She never told me anything about her origin, neither did the Donovan's, so I don't know" She explained softly.

　　"That's alright love. That's alright. You don't have to be sad about it. We will get to the root of this matter " Achilles assured her and she quietly nodded her head.

　　She wished they were just two of them in the room, she felt like crashing into his big arms and bawling her eyes out.

　　"I suggest one of us go over to the Donovan household and ask them some questions about Bella's mother" Diana suggested.

　　"I will go" Alex volunteered.

　　"No, you don't have to, I will go." Achilles opposed.

　　"I said I will go" Alex insisted in a firm tone.

　　"And I said no! I will. After all it's my business, not yours, she's carrying my baby, not yours!" He pointed out clearly and Alex had nothing else to say.

　　He gave his brother a murderous glare as he swallowed the painful lump in his throat that pierced him like needles.

　　"Do as you please"

　　"I definitely will!" He firmly concurred as he took Bella out of the office, leaving Alex who was silently fuming in rage.
