CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

"Why is he so grumpy?" Diana wondered aloud as she looked from Tony to Alex.

"Well, when it comes to Bella, Alpha Achilles can get very wounded. The guy is definitely head over heels for her" Tony told them as he chuckled and Diana joined him.

The only person who did not find it funny was Alex who was staring daggers at both of them as they laughed.

He was furious at what he had just witnessed and he wondered what was amusing them.

"He's nothing but a control freak!" He finally spoke out as he stormed out of the office. Both Diana and Tony were awestruck by his sudden outburst.

"What is wrong with both of them?" Diana asked aloud.

"Well… I think I know exactly what's going on, but I'd rather not say."

  "Why not?"

"It's a rather sensitive topic and I would not want to be a part of it at all. See you around" He made clear and Diana was left alone in the office, totally stunned.

"What the hell is wrong with all of them?" She wondered aloud and a brilliant idea came to her mind.

If her brother's were having a serious silent feud, then just one person was capable of telling her all that she needed to know about the feud and how to end it.

With a smirk plastered on her face, she exited the office and headed straight to her chambers.

When she got into her private room, she was not surprised at all to see their grandmother seated on her favorite spot by the window, probably waiting for her. She gently closed the door behind her and took silent steps towards the old woman. Sometimes, she wondered how the old woman knew when she needed her.

Everytime she came into that room with the aim of summoning her, she found her already seating on the couch by the window, patiently waiting for her.

"Grandma" She called in a clam voice as she stood before their grandmother.

"I know you are always wondering how I know when you need me" Grandma asked as she turned to face her and Diana silently nodded her head. "Well, you see child, where I am, I get very lonely and the only thing… the only thing that makes me feel better is watching you guys carry on with your day to day activities. So, I know when you children are in conflict, I know when you need advice and I show up. Simple" Grandma explained and Diana calmly nodded her head.

"I see… so grandma you mean to tell me that you are always watching us?"Diana asked, slightly shaken and Grandma quietly nodded her head. "Wow, so you know all that is going on, including the feud between Achilles and Alex"

"Yes, I know and about that, I don't think I'm very happy about what you are doing. You are starting a fire you won't be able to put out!" Grandma cautioned and Diana furrowed her brows and walked closer to her. She was confused about what her grandma had just told her.

"Grandma, I don't think I understand what you just said. What fire?" Diana asked, startled as she went closer to her grandmother.

"You asked Alex to get close to Bella just so Achilles would get jealous, didn't you?"

"Yes, I did," she admitted. "I did ask Alex to act like he was interested in Bella so Achilles would get jealous, but grandma I didn't just do that for nothing. You and I know how stubborn that grandson of yours can be. Achilles is very stubborn and he has blatantly refused to tell me the reason why he doesn't want to marry Bella. I'm curious and I want to know, that's I enacted that plan" She explained with all seriousness and grandma Diana looked at her for a whole lot of seconds.

She knew Diana had always been the child to get whatever it is she wanted or the answers she needed to hear no matter the means and she was sure that Diana was going to keep pressing until she got that answer out of Achilles, which was a good thing, but the consequences were going to be drastic.

She was watching her grandchildren everyday from above and she could see their hearts. Both Alex and Achilles were in love with Bella and Diana had no idea about that. Grandma was scared that the day would come when neither of the brothers would want to give Bella up and that would lead to an even more dangerous conflict in that castle.

Her two grandsons killing each other for a woman was the last thing she wanted to happen.

"Diana" Grandma Diana called as she rose from her seat and turned to face her.

  "Yes Grandma"

"There are many other ways which you can use to make Achilles tell you what you want to hear. You don't have to make two brothers kill eachother for something so petty"

"Kill eachother?" Diana asked, alarmed. Her face had suddenly gone pale white as she took a step backwards. Her heart began pounding in her chest as she let out short heavy breaths. "Grandma" She whispered and the terror in her voice could be very well noticed. "My brothers would never kill eachother, what are you saying?" She told grandma who shook her head with a smile plastered on her face.

"My innocent granddaughter who owns the purest of hearts. You have no idea the things a man would kill his brother for, that's why I beseech you stop whatever it is your are doing. Stop using Alex as a tool to make Achilles tell you what you want to know. The consequences will be apocalyptic. Leave him be. Achilles will tell you what you want to know when he feels like it. You very well know that's how he operates"

"But grandma I'm curious" Diana nagged.

"And I'm serious. Do not ruin the peace of this household for your own selfish desires. Do as I've told you, you will know what you want to know at the right time. Have I been understood?" Grandma Diana cautioned and Diana quietly nodded her head.

"Good. That said, I'll take my leave. If you need me, you know what to do to summond me" She turned around and dissapeared into thin air.

Diana stood there dumbfounded, because she always made that statement everytime she wanted to disappear, but the truth was, Diana had no idea what she was talking about because she never did anything to summon her.

She knew not what she needed to do to summon her.

And for the issue about her brothers, she was short of words.

Could they really kill eachother over anything at all?
