Achilles had still not gotten over what he found out about Bella and her mother. The way Mr. Donovan had them kept in the dark annoyed him so much that he felt like the punishment he had given to them was not enough.
Mr. Donovan lied to them and turned them into his personal slaves despite the fact that he was a rich man had many other servants in his mansion. If only he had told theirr father when Bella's mother showed up, their lives would have been a lot better, but the greedy man decided to take the law into his hands and he was going to pay for it.
When he(Achilles) left the meeting the previous day, he and Tony went straight to the Donovan mansion to take both Mr. Donovan and his daughter. On normal days, he would send his guards to execute the plan, but that particular case got to him so much that he wanted to be present when both father and daughter were facing their demise and that's exactly what happened.
The old man begged for mercy, but it wasn't granted because Achilles knew that's exactly what they did everytime Bella begged them for mercy, they punished her even more. He knew he could not change the past or completely heal the wounds those people had caused Bella, but he wanted her to know that justice had been served.
He arrived home late that night when she was already asleep on his bed and he was beyond excited. He loved the fact that she felt safer in his bedroom. He had her cuddled up all night in his arms and kissed her forehead ever now and then.
He loved her and their unborn child and he was never going to fail to severely punish anyone who ever gave them a hard time.
Thst morning, he had made up his mind not to go to the office. The first thing he did was mindlink Tony to take charge of the park affairs for the day because he would be unavailable. He wanted to be with Bella all day.
The previous day had been a rough one for her. She found out about her true identity and she didn't seem too happy about it. He wanted to spend the entire day, making her understand that he was now her family and that he never let anything happen to her and their unborn child.
The first good thing he wanted to make for her that morning was breakfast, that's why he walking to the kitchen with a wide smile plastered on his face. He had her favorite breakfast meal in mind and he intended to prepare just that for her. He wanted to begin her day with a delicious breakfast made by him.
Unfortunately, the smile on his face faded away and was replaced with a frown when walked into the kitchen and met his brother Alex cooking something. He looked at the ingredients and immediately understood what was going on.
Alex was preparing breakfast for Bella. Bile instantly rose from his stomach up to his mouth and he could taste the bitterness in his mouth. He breathed hard and clenched his fists by his side as he walked over to meet his brother.
"What are you doing?" He asked, trying hard to keep things civil even though there was already a war waging within him.
He was infuriated!
"Good morning to you too" Alex greeted sarcastically without sparing him a glance. He kept his focus on the onion he was chopping on the chopping board.
"I don't give two shits about morning greetings right now, Alex, tell me what are you doing?" Achilles asked and this time around, his tone was harsh.
"Well, if you insist. I'm making breakfast for Bella" Alex replied nonchalantly and that caused Achilles to tighten his fists and grit his teeth in anger.
"You do know that Bella has twenty maids at her service and they are available to serve her any time she wants, don't you?"
"I am well aware of that fact, brother. However, I want to do this for her, so… I'm doing it."
"I don't want you cooking for her!" Achilles stated and that caused Alex to chuckle. He put down the onion and the knife in his hands and turned to look at Achilles who had on a poker face.
"Achilles, this poker face and stoic appearance of yours does not make me squeamish, so don't waste it on me." Alex pointed out fearlessly.
Achilles ground his molars fiercely, causing veins to appear on his forehead and right and left temples. He wanted to strike his brother in the nose so he'll bleed, but on a second thought, he calmed down because it was two early for them to fight.
He took two steps backwards and folded his arms as he looked at his brother.
"Stop whatever it is you are doing and go to bed. You need not cook for her, her maids will do so. I want us to be civil this morning"
"If that's what's going to take for us to be civil, then I chose violence. I'm going to make this meal and serve it to Bella, do your worse!" Alex threatened and Achilles chuckled.
"Alex, are you daring me?"
"As a matter of fact, yes, I am. You know I would not be doing all this things if you two were together. I would have given my distance. But as of now, Bella is single, so I'm going to shoot my shot and I don't care how you feel about it." Alex made clear and Achilles chuckled and bit his lips.
Still his hands folded, he looked around to make sure no one was watching them before standing by his brother's at the kitchen island.
Without uttering a single word, he picks up the bowl of onion that had been chopped by his brother just a while ago and drop it on the floor. The bowl which happened to be breakable, shattered into pieces and the onion scattered on the floor.
Alex gave him a terrified look and he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
"I told you not to waste your efforts, she has maids." He slides down the jar of orange juice Alex had prepared and it falls on the ground, breaking into pieces as the juice spills all over.
Alex closed his eyes and heaved out a heavy sigh.
"And if anyone else should make breakfast for her…"
Pushes the plate of pancakes.
"It should be me…"
Turns off the cooker and stands still before his brother whose eyes are not open.
"Because she is carrying MY CHILD! Not yours" He emphasized and when Alex couldn't take it anymore, he turned around and sauntered out of the kitchen with tears shimmering in his eyes.
He had never felt so humiliated and disrespected his entire life.
"Now let's begin." Achilles celebrated in silence as he rubbed his palms together.
He cared less about what he just did to his brother. He had proven his point and that's what was important.
