"Look who is awake" Diana exclaimed happily as Bella struggled to open her eyes. Achilles had assigned her to watch Bella day while he went on with his pack duties.
Bella, whose head was spinning like a rollercoaster, gently opened her eyes and smiled when she saw Diana. Her head was no longer throbbing like it was in the morning and her fever seemed to have subsided. The only thing she felt was dizzy and that was because she had been sleeping for a long time.
"For how long have I been asleep?" She asked weakly and as she struggled to sit upright, Diana assured her and put a pillow behind her back so she could be more comfortable.
"Couple of hours." Diana replied. "Doctor Karl gave you a sedative. He said you had a fever as a result of too much stress, so he wanted you to rest well."
"Ah… I see. I feel a lot better now"
"Then that's good. But you have to brace yourself, because you have five more servants at your service." She notified Bella whose mouth fell in shock.
"No he didn't!" She flatly denied it.
"Yes, he did. He got upset when the doctor announced that you were stressed up. He's doing all he can to make sure you don't get sick again because if stress." Diana explained and Bella didn't say a word.
She wanted to protest, but she knew nothing she would do or say would make Achilles change his mind about his decision, so she angrily bit her lips and stayed quiet.
She wished she could have that baby already.
"I would feel the same way if I were in your shoes" Diana tried to console her.
"His overprotectiveness is suffocating, but it's scary that I find it cute sometimes" She cried and Diana just chuckled and nodded her head.
"It's hard to accept and hard to deny"
"Sort of"
"You'll get used to it." Diana assured her.
"I hope so."
A long moment of silence went by.
"Bella, can I ask you to be honest with me about something?" Diana asked and Bella instantly nodded her head innocently.
"Yes, anything"
"Did you by any chance tell Achilles what we both discussed the other day?" She asked calmly, but with a serious tone and Bella furrowed her brows as she tried to remember what it was they had talked about.
When it came to her mind, she quickly shook her head.
"No! I gave you my word. I swear I didn't say anything to him" She swore with all her might.
Her heart was not doing justice to her at all by beating as hard as it was at that moment.
"Well… just that Tony told me a while ago that Achilles asked him a few questions about me yesterday and he was shocked." Diana explained and Bella pursed her lips tight.
She was caught up in the middle of a very serious matter that was arising and she did not like it. Both Achilles and Diana had confided in her about very sensitive issues and she had given each of them her words not to spread the news of the issue to any one and she was going to do just that.
"He asked Tony questions about you?" Bella asked, faking a surprised expression.
She already knew all that happened, but she just had to pretend like she did not know so as not to sell herself out.
"Yeah and it scared Tony because that was the first time Achilles was ever doing that. He was scared that rumors about our feelings for each other had begun to fly out. That would not be good at all"
"Diana, you and I know that if that was a rumour, your brother would not have reacted so calmly. He just asked Tony a simple question, there's no need for him to over think it. Who knows, maybe your brother wants you and Tony to be…" She caught herself before she could complete the statement.
"To be?" Diana insisted but Blair hastily shook her head and smiled. Nothing at all. The sedative must be affecting me the wrong way." She brushed off the topic.
Diana could feel that she was hiding something, but she decided to shrug it off because she trusted Bella.
"Have you seen Achilles?" Bella asked in a quiet tone. She had not seen Achilles for a while and she missed him dearly. She knew he was worried sick about her health, so she wanted to tell him that she was fine and that he need not worry.
"Do you miss him?" Diana asked, giving her puppy eyes and she blushed so hard that her cheeks turned tomato red. "Someone is blushing like a teenager" Diaba teased her Bella playfully hit her arm.
"I'm not a teenager. How dare you!"
"Don't you worry, you're only saying all that because you miss him. He went to do some inspection at the factory with Tony and the gamma. They'll come back home once they are done" Diana explained and her head dropped down.
She wanted him to be there that instant.
Diana looked at her and smiled hard. Since they were just the two of them, she felt like telling her all that was going on between Achilles and Alex, over her, but on a second thought, she decided to stay quiet.
The doctor had explained that Bella got sick because she was stressed, she did not want to stress her up even more by telling her such a thing.
Also, she did not want things to become more complicated than they already were. If Bella found out that Alex had feelings for her, their relationship would be strained and that could even affect her relationship with Achilles.
She(Diana) thought of all the consequences of Bella knowing that disturbing truth and decided not to say a word.
"I can't wait for the day when you and my brother will finally get married" She said out of nowhere and Bella looked at her like she had suddenly turned into a ghost. "What?" Diana asked, giggling.
Bella did not say a word, she just shook her head and kept staring at the wall.
Lately, she and Achilles had been on good terms and close too, but she had no idea what kind of relationship they had.
She would have loved to think more about it, but the hunger she felt in her stomach was so unbearable that she could hardly focus.
"Diana" She called as calmly as she could.
"Mmmm"
"If I don't see food here in the next two minutes, I swear I'm going to swallow you whole" Bella warned and a hungry yawn followed.
Diana, who understood what she was talking about, laughed hard as she exited the bedroom to get the servants to serve her food.
