After the severe warning sounded by Diana, Alex and Achilles went their separate ways. Alex left Achilles' chambers, while Achilles went over to his wine bar and began to drink. That was the same wind bar he had watched Diana destroy with just a clap and later reversed the destruction with a wave.
Having such powers must be so cool, he thought.
As he drank, he kept thinking about Bella and his unborn child and the fact that they were on the hands of a tyrant who would not hesitate to have them killed anytime he pleased. His mind kept picturing her in a cold dungeon, probably very hungry and cold. He was enraged at that moment and wanted to go over to Alpha D'argan and face him one on one, but he couldn't.
He couldn't because Diana had locked him up in his chambers with a spell. He had tried to use every exit to get out of his chambers, but he he could not step out.
Diana knew how much he loved Bella and figured that would be his next move, so she casted the spell when she left the chambers after giving them the warning. Everyone else could enter and leave the chambers, but he could not leave and that frustrated him.
Diana knew he would not listen to her no matter how she tried to explain to him that everything was under control, so she decided to lock him in and Achilles was enranged by that action of hers.
She was however, doing it for his own good, because she knew the moment he showed up at Alpha D'argan's castle with no back up, the tyrant would have no second thoughts about killing him.
Achilles who did not want to understand any of those things drowned himself in alcohol and swore to teach Diana a lesson the moment she showed up before him.
"Diana!" He shouted at the top of his voice as he shot the glass he was holding to the floor. The glass shattered into pieces and servants instantly rushed in to clean up the mess.
"What did I tell about glasses and your anger?" A familiar voice spoke from behind and Achilles rolled his eyes and sighed.
Alex was the last person he wanted to talk to at that moment.
"I don't want to talk to you Alex and I mean it."
"Well, I want you to and you will, wether you like it or not." He said as he walked over to the wine bar and sat on the stool next to Alex. "You reek of alcohol!" He complained about scrunched his nostrils in disgust.
"If you are so disgusted by how I smell, why don't you just see yourself out? I'm not ready to entertain your blabbering." He made clear to Alex who shook his head and chuckled lightly.
Achilles had always been very sarcastic and stubborn.
"You do know that we need to talk, don't you?" He asked and Achilles gave him a sharp gaze with his face masked with a frown.
"I don't want to talk with you." He stated, but not meaning it.
He wanted to talk with his brother, but he was too proud to admit it.
It was his broth their faults that Bella got kidnapped. If only Alex did not take her out for a walk, the guard would not have the chance to take her and if he(Achilles) had not showed up and thrown a tantrum, he would have been the one to take Bella home, not the guard.
Indeed, it was about time for them to iron things out before they got to another level.
"This is not up for a debate, Achilles. We have to talk."
"Then say what you have to say and get lost." Achilles fired rudely and Alex calmly bowed down his head.
A pin-dropping silence followed Achilles words as the two brothers kept staring at the wine bar before them.
Achilles kept gritting his teeth in anger, while Alex thought of how he was going to start talking.
"You know, if someone were to ask me why were are always fighting, I wouldn't know what to say." Alex finally broke the silence. His voice was calm and gentle.
"Well I would. You an annoying prick and it seems like you only exist to make my life miserable!" Achilles told him bitterly and that hurt his feelings, but he decided to stay calm.
"I know you are very upset right now but..
"
"Upset? Did you just say upset? That is an understatement. As it is now I am infuriated and I'm trying hard not to slice you into pieces right now."
"And for the umpteenth time, stop saying things you don't mean." Alex cautioned and Achilles snorted. "That night I met Bella in the woods for the first time, I was attracted to her, but I refused to acknowledge it. Days passed and I saw the way you treated her. I didn't like it, so I started getting close to her. I fell in love with her before I even realized myself. I thought it was okay for me to do that, that's why I disregarded your feelings for her and kept attempting to make her fall for me, but I failed woefully. When I realized that she loved you instead, jealousy kicked in and I began doing things I was not supposed to do. I should have stepped back earlier."
"But you did not!" Achilles made clear and he nodded as he pursed his lips.
"I did not. I'm the older one here, I should have acted more maturely. I should have backed down and prevented all the unnecessary fights, but I didn't. I chose to be stubborn and didn't get me any where. I know this won't change anything, this won't bring Bella back, but I just want to tell you that I'm sorry. I'm terribly sorry for all the trouble I caused you, it was totally unnecessary. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, then I'd be grateful and I promise you that I will never even look at Bella ever again. We have been fighting all our lives and I want that to continue, because that's sort how we bond as brothers, but of course, I wouldn't want us to fight over a girl. That's lame. Father must be ashamed of us."
"Ashamed of you! You are the big brother, you are supposed to be more sensible than I am." Achilles accused.
"Will you stop being such a dickhead?" Alex asked frustrated. "I'm trying to mend things here and you are not helping matters with that very fat mouth of yours."
"I only said that to lighten up the mood, you sounded like you were going to cry. I don't want you crying by my side." Achilles asserted and the two brothers looked at eachother. Silence crept into the entire living room once more and they suddenly burst into laughter.
They had no idea what was funny, but they just found themselves laughing.
Achilles laughed so hard that he stepped down from the stool he was seated on and laughed even harder.
Diana who had been standing at the door and looking at them the entire time clapped her hands as she walked towards them. The two brothers instantly stopped laughing and looked at her her.
"That went better than I had hoped." She broke the silence. "Now that you've turned over a new leave, follow me, grandma wants to talk to you both."
She ordered and began walking out of the living room.
