CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR

White walls, white floor, white tiles. Everything around him was freaking white. Even the doors on both sides of the hallway were white. The only odd thing was the clothes he had on which were black.

Achilles was terrified to the core as he walked along the long, never ending corridor that had doors side by it's walls. He was not familiar with place. He didn't why he was there or how he got there in the first place.

He took calm, calculated steps forward and jumped in fright when one of the doors by his suddenly opened up with very bright rays of light protruding out, almost blinding his eyes. He quickly placed his palm over his forehead and slightly closed his eyes as he struggled to peep into the room. When he got a clear view, he could see that it was a white room as well.

He began to panic at that moment. Everything looked so strange and unreal, but he was there in person.

"Come in." A male voice spoke from nowhere and Achilles recognized the voice because it belonged to someone he had known all his life. Some one he loved very dearly.

"Alex?" He called, looking around to see if he would see Alex indeed.

"Come into the room." The voice instructed yet again and that only made Achilles to look around even more. When he finally realized that the person he was looking for wasn't out there in the hallway, he carefully stepped into the white room and his heart fell into his abdomen when he saw his brother, Alex, standing at the center of the room and smiling at him.

"Alex!" He called in joy as he rushed over to him. "Alex! Is this really you?" He asked with tears forming in his eyes.

  "It's me in spirit, brother."

"Ho…how…how is this… ho…" Achilles stammered in utter shock. "How is this possible? I mean… how are we here together? Does this mean I'm dead as well?" Achilles asked aghast and Alex calmly shook his head.

"No you are not." He denied.

"Then how come we are here together."

"Well, Diana put my soul in her pendent, so once in a while, I can visit people in their dreams and tell them what I have to say."

"Whoa! This is brilliant! brother, I missed you so much! I'm so happy to see you!"

"Me too brother. I'm happy to see you. How is Bella?"

"Bella is doing just fine!" Achilles replied enthusiastically as he paced about.

"And my little nephew, he must be a grown up guy by now."

"Ah yeah! Alex is a big guy now. He's hyperactive and always all over the place."

"Alex?" Alex asked amused. "You named him after me?"

"Uh… yeah." Achilles replied as he nervously scratched his head. He could recall the time when he had once sworn to Alex that he would never name his son after him, but there he was, guilty. "Alex, your death broke me. I was angry at everything that happened and the only thing that could give me a little peace was naming my child after you. He reminds me so much of you." He said with a smile and Alex chuckled hard.

He was so excited to hear that his stubborn brother had named his child after him.

A future Alpha had been named after him.

  That was an honor!

"Well, I'm honored to have a future Alpha named after me. How are things back at the pack? How is everyone doing? Especially Tony and Diana?" He asked and Achilles' head dropped in dismay.

Alex's soul had been locked up in a pendent, so he was unaware of everything that was happening at the pack or anywhere else.

"You really don't know all that has been happening?" Achilles asked sadly as he stopped pacing around and Alex shook his head.

"No, I don't. I mean, I have been locked up in a pendant for five years. I have no idea what has been happening." He explained and Achilles bit his lips hard as he prepared to explain what he did and get scolded by Alex.

  "We were betrayed, brother."

  "Betrayed?" Alex asked aghast.

"Yeah. Carter, the gamma and some members of the pack betrayed us that's why the soccerer was able to get into the castle and kidnap Bella. I only found out once everything was over, after your death. I was so angry and I couldn't bear to stay and keep ruling the same people who caused the death of my brother, so I relinquished my rights as Alpha of the Wall Street Pack and left for the human world."

  "No you did not!"

"I had no other choice, brother! I was angry and I needed them to feel my anger. I knew that banishing them or killing them would not be enough, that's why I decided to leave them defenseless against the enemy."

  "Achilles…"

"I know you are going to scold me for taking such a careless decision, but I don't regret it. I lost you… because of them, they had to suffer with me." Achilles spoke firmly, causing Alex to hold back his words.

He knew he and Achilles were hardly ever on good terms with each other, but the fact that they loved each other most ardently was not known to him.

"Diana paid me a visit in the human world yesterday. She told me things were gradually going back to default. Every pregnant She-wolf recently had a miscarriage and the children in the pack are dying."

  "What?" Alex whispered in horror.

"The redemption wasn't complete. Alpha D'argan is still alive. Unless we kill him, we will have no peace."

"Then why haven't you gone over to have him killed? Achilles children are dying!"

"Alex…" He called, but swallowed the next words that were about to follow.

"What's the matter?" Alex asked concerned.

"Do you honestly think I should go back and help them?"

"Achilles you are not going back to help them, you are going back to perform your duty to them as their Alpha. It is your duty to get them out of this horrendous situation!"

  "But they…"

"Betrayed you? And so what? They need you and I'm positive that by now they must have learned from their mistake. You cannot let the mighty Wall Street Pack go extinct because of one betrayal and also… don't you want me to come back to life?" He asked and Achilles looked up at him confused.

  "I… I don't understand."

"If you go back and complete the redemption battle, I am very positive the moon goddess will give Diana one more chance of powerful magic that can bring me back to life."

"Are you really sure about that?"

"A hundred percent sure." He assured Achilles who smiled hopefully.

"Then I'll definitely go back to that pack and kick that tyrant's ass till he dies. I promise to end this war once and for all and bring you back to life!" He spoke confidently and suddenly, he found himself waking up from sleep.

He looked around and noticed he was no longer in the white room and Alex was gone too. Bella was sleeping peacefully by his side and that's when he confirmed that he had been dreaming, but he knew for sure that was no ordinary dream. Alex had come to send him a message and he had clearly gotten it, all he needed to do was do as he had been told.
