The past five years had been a blissful one for the tyrant Alpha, Alpha D'argan. He was not only able to do whatever he wanted, but he had every other pack under his command. He was just as powerful and influential as he used to be and the Alphas of the neighboring packs were terrified of him.
When he heard about the current predicament of the Wall Street Pack, he couldn't help but mock them. Because he was still alive, the curse of infertility had returned and it was just a matter of time before all their children died. He wanted to destroy them all, but his inability to penetrate the pack boundary was what stopped him. He even tried to lure the other packs who could penetrate the Wall Street boundary, but their Alpha's didn't find it cool, so they declined.
This however, didn't stop Alpha D'argan from hatching plans on how to completely finish off the Wall street pack. Twenty years had gone by since he made them miserable, he had intentions of extending that time to eternity.
"Alpha." A call came in through mindlink and he immediately recognized the voice to be that of his Beta's.
"Yes Chris." He replied in his mind, with his eyes focused on the naked girl sleeping on his bed. She was his newest wife and he had just had a heated sex session with her that afternoon.
Ever since the execution of his former wife, he took it upon himself to marry as many wives as he could and all had been young virgins that had been seized from their parents.
"The Alpha of the Blackwood pack, Alpha Curtis, has arrived." Chris announced.
"Tell him I'll be there in ten minutes." He said and blocked the mindlink. He heaved out an exasperated sigh as he grudgingly slid down from the bed. He was just about to wake the girl up and have another round of intense pleasure before the mindlink came in.
He gave a hard smack on her left butt cheek before walking into the bathroom to freshen up.
As he showered, he thought of all the things he had accomplished in the past years. He was extremely wealthy and so was his entire pack. He bullied the rest of the Alphas into giving him at least thirty percent of the revenue they made from any source of income.
He had the power to barge into any pack at any time and demand for anything he wanted and it would be served to him on a silver platter. He knew both Alphas and subjects of neighboring packs loathed him, he knew even his own pack members wanted him dead, but he was not bothered about any of that because he knew they could do nothing to him.
The only pack capable of bringing him down was the Wall Street Pack and at that moment, they were beyond miserable. As long as the Wall Street Pack stayed miserable and powerless, then he stayed invincible.
When he was done showering and dressing up, he went downstairs to meet Alpha Curtis whom he had summoned a few hours ago.
Alpha Curtis was the most recalcitrant Alpha of all the Alphas of the other packs. He had a reputation of being the only Alpha to make things a bit difficult for Alpha D'argan.
"Alpha Curtis." He called as he stepped into the living room and immediately, Alpha Curtis calmly rose from his seat and turned to face Alpha D'argan.
Other Alphas were known to tremble and stutter while talking to Alpha D'argan, but Alpha Curtis never trembled nor stuttered when talking to him. He didn't never even bow down to Alpha D'argan.
"Alpha D'argan, I was told you sent for me." Curtis pointed out and D'argan silently nodded his head as he walked further into the living room.
"Yes, I did."
"Why? If I may?"
"Alpha Curtis, I was told by my Beta that you haven't paid in your thirty percent revenue of the month as you should. Is there a reason for that?" Alpha D'argan asked with all seriousness and Alpha Curtis resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He heaved out a heavy sigh as he gave the Alpha an intense look.
"The delay is from the finance ministry. They are still doing the necessary calculations so that the right amount will be sent. We wouldn't want to cheat you or be cheated, so exercise some patience. The money will come in at the latest this weekend." Alpha Curtis lied between his teeth, staring deep into Alpha's eyes.
He hated Alpha D'argan to the core and even Alpha D'argan knew, but the sad thing was that there was nothing he could do about it.
"If you say so."
"Is that all you wanted us to talk about?"
"Your arrogance towards me grows as the days go by and I'm greatly intrigued, Alpha Curtis. I hope you know your place and the fact that I can bring you down anytime I want, so be careful." He warned and Alpha Curtis snorted.
Alpha D'argan's words did not scare him.
He only obeyed the man's words because of his subjects. He knew what Alpha D'argan was capable of doing to them and he did not want that. They were the only reason why he put up with the man's tyranny.
"Anyway, I have another reason for summoning you."
"Which is?" Curtis asked impatiently.
"It is your turn to send soldiers to the Wall Street Pack to cause trouble. I hear they have been undisturbed for quite some time now. I need to remind them of how miserable they are. Send thirty men to go cause trouble for the Wall Street Pack and report to me what happens."
"With all due respect Alpha, I cannot do that." Curtis denied flatly.
"Excuse me?" Alpha D'argan asked with a raised brow.
"The last time I sent my men, I lost ten of them and the other twenty came back with very serious injuries. You seem to have forgotten that those people have a powerful witch on their side. A witch who can take down a whole battalion with just one wave of the hand. I cannot risk my soldiers' lives for nothing."
"For nothing, you say?" Alpha D'argan repeated with a deadly sneer as he took calm calculated steps towards Alpha Curtis. When he was close enough, he stopped and looked at him straight in the eye.
"I order you to send thirty men to the Wall Street Pack tonight to cause trouble for them to report to me at eight am tomorrow morning. Failure to do so, I will do to you and your entire pack what I did to the Wall Street Pack twenty years ago. Mark my words." Then he turned around and walked away.
Without wasting any much of his time, Alpha Curtis exited the living room and together with his Beta and guards, left straight for his pack which was the Black Wood Pack.
He was sick and tired of Alpha ordering him around like he had the right to do so and he knew it was about time he did something to stop that nonsense.
