"Achilles." Diana called through mind link on her way to her private room. She wanted to let Achilles know that she was going to try to summon their grandmother once again.
"Yes Diana, is everything alright?" Achilles asked.
"Yes, everything is alright, I just want to tell you that I'm onmy way to my private room. I'm gonna try summoning grandma to see if she would respond."
"Are you sure she's going to come around? It's been five years, dear sister."
"I know." She sighed. " I know it's been quiet a while, but I just want to try. Achilles we are all going into another battle and we need her. I just want to try out and she if she's gonna respond, you know." She explained and she could hear her brother sigh from his end.
"Alright love, do what you wanna do, but don't get high hopes, else you'll be dissapointed."
"I won't. I'll fill you in on the details when I return."
"I will be waiting, be safe."
"I will." The she blocked the mindlink and stopped before the door to the room. Just looking at that door made her remember all the times her grandmother had locked her in there to teach her spells and magic which have helped her and everyone else in the pack.
She calmly stepped forward and placed her hand on the doorknob as she murmured incoherent words with her eyes closed. The moment she was done, the door on creaked and she opened the door widely.
She stood on her spot and stared into the room, scanning the surrounding and contemplating if she should walk in and give in a try or turn around and leave.
From the door, she could see that everything was still in tact and that made her smile. That used to be her favorite room in the entire castle, but at that moment, she didn't even know how she felt about the room.
After critically thinking and making up her mind, she finally stepped into room and the moment she did, strong wind blew through the window, causing all the hair on her body to stand erect. Goosebumps appeared all over her body as well and she could feel the power that had been locked in that room hover around her. The mysterious wind shut the door behind her and immediately, everything became normal again. The atmosphere was still and her pores were no longer open.
She walked around, scanning every herb and clay pot, and sticks and bones that she used to cast very powerful spells.
The last powerful spell she did was the boundary spell.
Without wasting any more times, she went over to the summoning spot which had her grandmother's photo sitting on a table with white candles surrounding it.
She quietly knelt down before the table and with just a wave of her hand, lit the candles before closing her eyes.
"Grandma." She called with no ounce of joy. "I know you are doing okay. You are with you ancestors… our ancestors and I can bet that they are taking good care of you and I'm happy for you. But Grandma everything is not okay down here. I know you did your best for us to win this battle five years ago, but that did not happen and now we are suffering the consequences. Achilles left and I cannot blame him for doing so. He was betrayed by his own people, he had every right to leave. But grandma he's back and right now we all need you to help us get though this. The people who prevented our redemption from happening have all apologized and we have made peace with them. Grandma… innocent children have and are still dying. Your great granddaughter, Bella will follow soon. Please… grandma, come and help us get rid of this tyrant so we can… so we can…" A strange feeling cut off her words and immediately, she opened her eyes and turned to look at the window and when she did, she was beyond shocked to see grandma Diana seated by the window and smiling at her from molar to molar.
"Grandma!" She squealed in excited as she rose to her feet and rushed over to the window to meet her grandma who was dressed in her usual white cloak.
She wanted to give her a tight hug, but she knew that would be impossible, so she stood a few inches and burst into tears.
She cried so hard that her grandma pitied her.
"Diana, you summoned me and here I am, why then are you shedding tears."
"Tears of joy, grandma these are tears of joy. I'm very happy you were able to hear me out and show up. Thank you very much." She thanked from the depth of her heart and her grandma just smiled as she rose from her seat.
"It wasn't easy convincing the Moon goddess to let me come here, she only did so because she has seen your suffering and all your cries and she wants that to end them. That's why she sent me to come and help you."
"Grandma, does that mean the Moon goddess is with us? Does that mean we have a chance to win this battle."
"You always have had chances to win your battles Diana, but they blew up because some people among you thought otherwise. Mind you, if you all do not stand united as a pack to defeat the tyrant, then all your efforts will get in vain again and this time around, the consequences will be worse than what you are facing now." She warned and fear creeped into Diana's soul.
Losing innocent children was already bad enough, she didn't want to think of anything worse than that.
"Grandma, I can assure you that right now we are united. No one is going to betray the pack for any reason."
"If that's the case then, let's pick up from where we stopped. Call a meeting with your brother and other pack leaders, tell them the battle is on again." And like a puff of smoke, she was gone.
A wide smile spread across Diana's lips as she folded her arms over her breasts.
"With pleasure!" She whispered with a sinister smile as she exited the room.
With their grandma around and the entire pack united, she was certain that they were going to take down Alpha once and for all.
