"Achilles." Tony's voice came through mindlink and Achilles immediately closed his eyes to respond.

　　"Yes Tony, anything the matter?" He asked eagerly.

　　"Alpha Curtis, the Alpha of the blackwood pack is here to see you. He says he has something important he would like to discuss with you." Toby reported and Achilles sighed as he wodnered what that important thing could be. The only time he had anything to do with neighboring packs was when he had business to do with them. Now that the Alpha himself was there to see him, he didn't know what to expect. "Should I send him away?" Tony added after a long moment of silence.

　　"No, don't do that. Bring him in and tell Carter to join us too. Let's hear what he has to say."

　　"Alright, I will do just that." Then he blocked the mindlink.

　　Achilles leaned backwards on his chair and heaved out another exasperated sigh as he kept thinking of the possible reasons why the Alpha of the Black Wood Pack was there to see him. They have never had any business misunderstanding, nor have their soldiers caused trouble with each other.

　　He was greatly disturbed.

　　"Baby." He called Bella through mindlink.

　　"Yes love." She responded immediately.

　　"How are you doing?"

　　"I'm doing okay and you?" Bella asked and he thought of telling her about Alpha Curtis's visit, but he immediately decided not to do so.

　　"I'm doing great. Just wanted to check on you, see you when I get home. I love you."

　　"I love you too."

　　Achilles immediately blocked the mindlink and rubbed his forehead with his fingers. He had hoped that talking with Bella would suppress his nervousness, but it didn't. He still felt anxious and scared. Alpha Curtis was a powerful Alpha around and he didn't want to get on his bad side.

　　Moments later, there was a knock on his office door and immediately he gave the signal for them to come in, the three men, Tony, Carter and Alpha Curtis made a graceful entrance into his office. He immediately stood on his feet on seeing the Alpha.

　　As they walked further into the office, Achilles' eyes did not leave Alpha Curtis' body. He monitored his body language and facial expressions to see if he had come to report any bad news, but he got nothing. The man's countenance was as blank as an A four sheet.

　　Tony led him to the sitting area when he made himself comfortable and Achilles knew that was his queue to rise from his chair and go meet them in his sittng area.

　　"Good afternoon to you, Alpha Curtis." He greeted formally and Alpha Curtis rose from his seat.

　　"Good afternoon to you, Alpha Achilles." He greeted as he stretched his hand forward for a handshake. "I'm thrilled to be in your presence this afternoon. Thank you for having me."

　　"You are welcome." Achilles said shaking his hand. "Please make yourself comfortable." He offered and Alpha Curtis took his seat once more.

　　"What would you like to drink? Wine, whiskey or beer?" Achilles asked sitting down, but the Alpha shook his head.

　　"The drink can wait. What I have to say is way more important."

　　"Is that so?" He asked with a raised brow. At that moment, he was a bit relieved because he could sense that Alpha Curtis had not come to report or cause any trouble.

　　"Yeah."

　　"And what could that important thing be?" Achilles asked curious and Alpha Curtis cleared his throat as he looked at Tony and Carter.

　　"I would love for us to talk in private, just two of us."

　　"Well, my bad for not introducing these gentlemen. That is Tony, my Beta and Carter, my Gamma and they will be present for this meeting as well. They are not leaving."

　　"Isn't that the same Gamma who betrayed the pack five years ago?" Alpha Curtis asked shocked and Achilles smiled.

　　"You've got a sharp memory there. As a matter of fact, he is and like I said, he has to hear whatever it is you have to say." Achilles repeated with a smile and Alpha Curtis understood that he was serious. He didn't understand what was going on, but he just had to ride on with what he had to say.

　　"Well… what I have to say is about the Tyrant Alpha, Alpha D'argan. I know how much he has terrorized this pack and made your lives miserable. I know how much he has made every other pack around him miserable and to tell you what, I'm sick and tired of his reign, that's why I'm here." He explained and the three men exchanged confused glances. When Curtis sensed their confusion, he rode on. "I know about the redemption that was to take place five years ago. I saw how hard you all fought, but things… things went wrong in the end and now, it's back again. I'm not here to pick on you, I'm here to tell you that I'm ready to assist you in your war. Like I Said before, I'm sick and tired of the tyrant's reign and I would love to get rid of him. One thing I've noticed is that only this pack is capable of killing that tyrant and that's why I'm here to give you my support. I've got soldiers, a lot of them and they obey my command. Let me help you."

　　"Help us? Really? How are we sure this is not your plan with that tyrant?" Tony asked, nerved and Alpha Curtis smiled.

　　"I think you missed the part where I said I detest that man!"

　　"Well, you could be lying!" Tony fired back.

　　"Calm down Tony!" Achilles reprimanded and Tony immediately stepped back. Achilles looked at Alpha Curtis long and hard before saying…

　　"I don't believe you."

　　Alpha Curtis scoffed and shook his head.

　　"You have a witch right? Why don't you bring her in here so she can read my mind?" He asked and Achilles looked at Tony who was already boiling in anger.

　　"Alpha Curtis, I'm sorry to say, but we cannot accept your help. Thank you for coming all the way here to say this, but we won't be needing your assistance to win this war. It'll be nice if you can take your leave now." Achilles stated curtly and Alpha Curtis just kept smiling as he rose from his seat and looked at them.

　　"You know where to find me if you eventually change your mind."

　　"Carter, see him out." Achilles ordered.

　　"Yes, Alpha."

　　Carter led Alpha Curtis out of the office while Tony and Achilles stayed behind, but hardly said a word to each other. They were still shocked by what Alpha Curtis had just said to them.
