CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN.

For the first time in forever, Diana was the one to be summoned by their grandmother. She was in her bedroom taking a nap when she heard her voice call and it immediately came to her understanding that her grandmother needed her to go to her magic room. She bolted out of her bedroom and headed straight to her magic room where she met her grandma seated by the window.

"Grandma." She called as she closed the door behind her.

Grandma Diana turned around to face her with a smile plastered on her face.

  "You came."

"Yes grandma. I could feel that you needed me." She reported as she walked over where her grandma was seated. "Grandma, did something new come up?" She asked concerned and her grandma turned back towards the window. Diana stood behind her and patiently waited for her to talk.

"I've initiated Alpha D'argan's nightmares again and right now he knows you all are planning a war against him."

  "He knows?" Diana asked worriedly.

"Yes he does, he has to know. Also, I was made to understand that Alpha Curtis of the Black Wood Pack was here to propose an alliance with you all, but Achilles turned him down."

"Yes grandma, he did and I think he was right. The neighboring packs all take orders from Alpha D'argan. They worship him like he were their god and we cannot trust them."

"The neighboring packs obey the tyrant because they are afraid of him, not because they want to and you might not know it, but they are eager for this redemption as well."

"Grandma, what's that supposed to mean?" Diana was confused.

"None of those packs have ever taunted you ok their own Accord. They sent soldiers to come cause trouble in your pack because they were threatened by the tyrant. They don't want to do all that. They are being forced and they need this redemption as much as you all want."

  "Grandma, I don't think I understand you."

"Alpha Curtis will be here today to make the same proposition of an alliance, tell your brother to accept. He means well. They all mean well and you will need them to win this battle."

"But grand…'' Before she could complete the phrase, Grandma Diana disappeared into thin air. "Dang it!" She cursed in frustration as she rubbed her forehead with her fingers with her left hand supporting her waist.

She was totally confused at the moment and would have loved more explanation. However, she trusted her grandmother's words. All she needed to do was tell the others so they would act accordingly once Alpha Curtis came.

"This will be one difficult news to break." She cried as she walked out of the bedroom.

  "Baby." She mindlinked Tony.

  "Yes, love."

"I'm calling a meeting. You guys should meet me in Achilles' office. There's something important we need to talk about."

  "Roger that."

She also went ahead to mindlink Bella as she descended the staircase.

  ***********************************************

"Diana, I don't think I'm comfortable with this awkward silence. How about you tell us why you summoned us here."

"Impatient freak!" She mumbled under her breath as she rose from her seat. They were all present in his office as she had commanded them, to listen to what she had to say, but she had no idea where to start because she knew they were all going to protest.

"I heard that!" Achilles made it clear and she carelessly rolled her eyes. Achilles, who noticed the act, just sighed and shook his head.

"I just spoke with grandma and she told me something."

  "Was it good or bad?"

"Well…" she shrugged. "It was good."

  "What was it about?"

"She kind of knows that you denied Alpha Curtis' proposal to fight with us and she wasn't very pleased with that."

"Why not? I'm sure she knows they are all Alpha D'argan's puppets. We can't trust them! None of them!" He said almost scolded and Diana let out a tired sigh.

"Achilles please be calm. You don't have to be mad at her." Tony pleaded in Diana's defense.

  "I'm not… I'm not…"

"Baby." Bella called, giving him a firm glance and he immediately stopped talked and let out a heavy sigh.

  "I'm sorry for being edgy, I… I just…"

"I understand." Diana cut him off. " I understand, I felt the same when she said that. But she also said they are all doing everything he asks them to do because they are scared of him. They don't like him and they want his downfall. They would do anything to make sure that happens."

  "Anything?"

"Yeah. She said Alpha Curtis will be here again to make the same proposition and we should accept because they really want to help us. She also said we need them is we want to win this battle." She explained the entire hall went silent.

They all exchanged confused glances, but said nothing to each other.

Achilles was still not d'accord with the idea of joining an alliance with the other Alphas, but he trusted his grandmother's words. He knew she would never lead them astray and that no matter how much he hated the idea, he had to accept because they needed to win that battle once and for all.

"Brother, I know this is hard for you to take in, but it's a word from grandma, you know she would never betray us, right?" She asked.

"I know that. I know that all too well. I'm just trying to get used to it. These are people who send soldiers to cause us trouble every now and then… how they…"

"Don't only think about the negative part. These are the same people we do business with, but they never try to steal from us. They are fair to us and we've never had any trouble with them that concerns money. They only sent those soldiers under Alpha D'argan's orders and I know they hate it. This is the Moon goddess' way to make us understand that she is with us on this. Let's just accept their help and not ask questions." Diana preached.

"You are right. The moon goddess is indeed on our side. I will be waiting for Alpha Curtis to come. Thank you for this piece of information."

  "Anytime, brother."

"If that's all then, we can all retire to what we were doing. Thank you for coming."
