After the meeting with Alpha Curtis, the three men stayed in Achilles's Office to discuss more on how things were going to be done now that they had more people on their side.
"I still can't believe all that I just heard." Tony remarked as he paced about the office. Achilles was seated on this office table while Carter made himself comfortable on one of the stools at the wine bar.
"Carter, mindlink Diana and Bella to come over so we can fill them in on the latest developments. They are going to rip me apart if we don't tell them now." Achilles instructed.
"I'm on it." Carter confirmed as he got to work.
"Actually Tony, I didn't expect six more Alphas to come into the picture. Alpha Curtis alone was enough to give us a big chance at winning this battle, but now that we have six more Alphas, I can already see D'argans' downfall. We are definitely going to win this time around. There's nothing he can do."
"Exactly!"
"The moon goddess is indeed on our side. Seven Packs! Wow! That's indeed amazing." Achilles exclaimed enthusiastically. He could still not believe what was happening. That was actually the last thing he expected to happen.
"Is everything alright?" A female voice asked from the door and all the guys turned to look. Diana was the one who posed the question as she and Bella walked into the office.
"That was fast." Tony exclaimed.
"Carter made us understand it was urgent, so here we are." That was Bella. "So, what's the problem we need to tackle this time?" She asked as she looked from Tony, to Carter and then, Achilles.
Achilles stepped down from the table he was seated on and walked helter-skelter around the living room for a while. Everyone went mute as they waited for him to finally talk.
"Alpha Curtis was here." He announced and both Bella and Diana's gazes widened in surprise.
"Was he?" Diana asked to be sure.
"Yes, he was. The last time he was here, he proposed an alliance between us and his pack, but today…" He stopped and looked at the girls who were impatiently waiting for him to ride on.
"What happened today?" Bella asked eagerly.
"Today, he proposed an alliance between our pack and seven other packs including his."
"I… don't think I understand."
"He made us understand that he held a meeting with other pack Alphas and they agreed to join forces with us to fight against Alpha D'argan. So right now, we are in alliance with seven other Alphas in this battle."
"No way!" Bella screamed in excitement as she turned to look at Diana who was at the verge of screaming herself. The two girls hugged each other furiously out of excitement before turning to face the guys once more.
"Is this really true?" Diana asked.
"Yes, love. It is. Right now,we are eight against one. That tyrant doesn't stand a chance to win." Tony assured them.
"This is amazing. This is a blessing from the Moon goddess." Diana cried.
"Yes, it is. She is indeed on our side."
"Yes, this is enough evidence that she wants us to win this war. But there is something that has been bothering me since yesterday." Achilles pointed out and everyone gave him a serious look.
"What's that?" Bella asked calmly.
"We have no idea how we are going to go about fighting this war. We know we can't just barge in and attack them, a lot of innocent people will be hurt and that is something I do not want. We need guidance from the moon goddess."
"That's true." Diana confirmed. "Last time, what needed to kill him was the birth of Alex, but one thing led to the other and the birth of Alex did not kill him because he was able to drink Bella's blood while she was in labor so the curse was broken. Right now, there is definitely another special means by which he has to be killed and that is what we do not know. Alpha D'argan cannot be killed by ordinary means, that is one thing for sure, something or someone who has a special connection to him has to do that and what we have to find out is the means by which that thing had to be done."
"Yes, that's true and I know grandma is the only person who can tell how to go about that. Diana, you have to talk to her on our behalf, ask her what has to done and who has to do it." Achilles instructed and Diana nodded her head.
"I will do just that."
"I pray it's not too complicated." Bella cried.
"I really don't care if it's complicated or not, love. I swear I don't care if I have to walk into a Lion's den to take what I need to end that tyrant's life. No danger will ever terrify as much as these twenty years have. I will do anything to end Alpha D'argan's life and free our subjects and subjects of other packs of his tyranny. I'm sick and tired of him." Achilles spoke bitterly.
He was truly tired of Alpha Achilles and he couldn't wait to get rid of him.
"But, what if he finds out that the other Alphas are on our side? What if he tries to turn them against us."
"If Alpha D'argan finds out that other Alphas are fighting on our side, he has two choices. It's either he has a heart to heart talk with them in which he tries to convince them to betray us, or he attacks them one by one. A move which would backfire against him. None of those two options favor him, so all I can say is that the guy is stuck. There's nothing he can do. His doom is drawing near." Tony explained.
"Also, he doesn't have any sorcerer with him right now. He's all alone. He has no one to report our moves to him, so he is in deep shit. It's over guys, there's nothing we can do. It's a sure victory for us." Achilles proclaimed confidently and the others could help but smile.
They were finally going to get the victory they had all been craving.
