CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX.

Alpha Curtis kept pacing about his office restlessly as he waited for his Beta, Demien, to come with the young virgin he had ordered him to get. After finding out from Alpha Achilles that there was a way to kill Alpha D'argan, he was beyond excited. He had been worried that the Moon goddess would take a longer time to reveal to them how D'argan was going to get killed, but that was not the case.

He loathed Alpha D'argan and he was willing to do anything to end his reign.

"Demien! What is taking you so long?" He mind linked Demien impatiently.

"We are almost at your office, Alpha." Demien reported and immediately, he blocked the mindlink and kept pacing about the office.

He could already picture the moment when the girl he was about to send had already succeeded in stealing the dagger. He wished he was the one to actually stab the tyrant king with the dagger and end his miserable life.

"Alpha Curtis." Demien called as he walked into the office with a girl following closely behind. She was putting on a uniform and Alpha Curtis immediately recognized her to be one of his castle maids. His heart bled at the thought that he was about to send one of his maidens into a Lion's den.

"Good day to you, Alpha Curtis." The girl greeted with a curtsy and Alpha D'argan nodded his head.

"Good day to you too, beautiful maiden." He greeted respectfully and the young maiden couldn't help but blush.

"Alpha, you said to get you a pure maiden, here she is."

"Close the door, Demien." He instructed and Demien immediately did as told. Alpha Curtis took slow gentle steps towards the young girl who had her head bowed down.

He was her Alpha and she dared not look him in the the eye even though she was dying to ask him why he had summoned her all of a sudden.

"Look at me." He calmly instructed and the young girl lifted her head up with fear in her eyes.

There were so many thoughts running through her mind at that moment. She wondered if she had done something wrong to offend the Alpha and now he had summoned her to get her punished. She was so scared.

  "What is your name?"

"Amelia…. Amelia Knowles." She replied calmly with her gaze not daring to reach that of Alpha Curtis'.

"Amelia, how old are you?" He asked calmly.

  "I'm nineteen years old."

"Have you found your mate yet?"

"No, Alpha." She replied and relief washed through Alpha Curtis.

"And can you swear to me that you have never been touched by a man before?" He asked and Amelia's gaze immediately averted from the wall to his face.

She was stunned by his question. That was the last thing she had expected him to ask.

  "I… I…" she stuttered nervously.

  "You?"

"I have never been in bed with any man, Alpha. I can bet my life on that."

"Good, because I have an assignment for you."

"An assignment?" She asked, confused and Alpha Curtis nodded his head.

"Yes, an assignment. But first, I would like you to tell me how you honestly feel about Alpha D'argan of the Crescent Moon Pack."

"Alpha D'argan?" She asked aghast and Alpha Curtis calmly nodded his head.

"I mean your honest truth. Forget that I'm your Alpha, talk as if you are talking to your friend and you two are expressing your honest opinions about Alpha D'argan."

"Well… I hate him. He's a tyrant. I hate him because he has caused so many deaths. He enslaves members of our packs and other neighboring packs. He has no respect for women, for anyone at all. The Wall Street Pack is miserable today because of him. His existence means bad luck to every werewolf." Amelia dished out bitterly and Alpha Curtis was impressed. A tiny smile formed at the side of his lips as he took a step towards her.

"Hmmm… your words depict how deep your hatred for the tyrant Alpha runs and to tell you what? I'm impressed. Now, what if I told you that there was a way to end this tyrant's life and that way can only be realized if you agree to help not only me, but the werewolf world as a whole."

"There is?" Amelia asked stunned and Alpha Curtis nodded his head.

"Yes, there is. There is a dagger that has to be used to stab Alpha D'argan in the heart. That is the only weapon that can have him killed and unfortunately for us, that weapon is in his keeping. We have to get it."

"So, you want me to go over to the crescent moon pack and steal the Dagger?" The girl asked in a serious tone and Alpha Curtis went silent for a while as he carefully scrutinized her.

  She was young.

  Very young.

He felt terrible for sending her on such a mission.

"Yes, I want you to steal the Dagger from Alpha D'argan. If you are willing to embark on this mission, give me your word of confirmation so I will let you know where you find the Dagger once you get to the pack."

"Alpha Curtis, I am ready to embark on any mission that would lead to the downfall of the tyrant king, so yes, I will do as you have said."

"Good. That's very smart of you. When you return, you and your entire family will be greatly rewarded for your bravery."

  "Thank you, Alpha."

"Here is the plan. Tonight I'm going to take you over to the Crescent Moon Pack and introduce you to Alpha D'argan as the new maiden I have brought for him to spend the night with so as to relieve his stress. He's not going to deny, he can never resist a pretty face. You will spend the night with him and the next morning, he will assign you to work as a maid in his castle. That's what he always does. When that happens, ask questions about his office to the other maids and insist that you want to be the one to have it cleaned, they will not hesitate to accept because no one ever likes going near the tyrant. When you get into his office, steal the Dagger at the slightest opportunity you get. You will find it in the second drawer of his office table. Is that clear?" He asked and Amelia, who had been following keenly, nodded her head in agreement.

  "Clear as day, Alpha."

"Good, now you go and prepare yourself. We leave in two hours." He instructed and immed, the young maiden turned around and ran out of his office.

Demien, who had been watching the scenario unfold before him in silence cleared his throat noisily as his gaze on Alpha Curtis intensified.

"Talk!" Alpha Curtis instructed once he sensed his fear.

"Don't you think that's too dangerous of a journey to let Amelia embark on? She's a young girl and has no idea how to go about things like this."

"You were here when all that just happened, happened. You saw the determination in her eyes, the confidence in her words and how she clenched her fists by her side every time mentioned that tyrant's name. That is all what's needed to get the task done, not age and experience. Or what would you rather have me do? Send a man? You and I know Alpha D'argan will smell something fishy and have him slain before dawn. This is the only way out Demien and I need you to support me, not chastise me."

"You have my full support Alpha, I was only worried for the girl."

"She will be fine. She's a daughter of the Black Wood Pack. She's strong and resilient. Wiser than Alpha D'argan himself and she will return to us safely with what we want, so relax." Alpha D'argan encouraged and Demien calmly nodded his head.

"If that's the case then, I will head back to the female training ground. If you need anything, I'm just a mindlink away."

"I'm very much aware of that fact, Demien." He affirmed and Demien sauntered out of the office, shaking his head.

Alpha Curtis could feel that his Beta was not satisfied with his plan.

He was not satisfied with his plan as well, but that was the only way out.
