I gaped at nothing as soon as I woke up from sleep. That is if I could call that sleep. For days I haven't been able to sleep.

Deep down I knew the answer. It was clearly a guilty conscience. The audacity of being wrong but having the guts to say all that to Chase. I slapped a hand over my face and sighed deeply. How could I have allowed my ego to come before my brain?
