George was very worried, he just froze, staring at the old man, suddenly he had a flashback. He was sitting in their dining room, his father was in the kitchen making pancakes. George couldn't resist the aroma coming from the kitchen. He couldn't wait for the pancakes to be ready, he couldn't wait to hear his father's voice.
"Son, the pancake is ready! "I will be there in a jiffy!" his father yelled from the kitchen. The excitement he gets whenever he hears his father's voice, especially when he says food is ready, hits differently.
His father gently dropped the pancake on the table. While his mother prepared the waffles, he gently fed him the pancakes, as they waited for his mother to finish preparing the waffles.
Night was already close. Immediately, his mom was done with the waffles, his dad's phone rang, and he picked it up. It was Geoffrey, his friend, who was calling.
"The movie Lawrence of Arabia, which is one of the 1960s classic movies, will be showing live at the cinema tonight. I hope you'll be coming with your wife and son!" Geoffrey's voice yelled from the phone.
"Yes, of course, you know I've been waiting for that movie! "Give me some time, we'll be there soon!" His dad yelled and hung up.
"Buddy, we're leaving for the cinema. "I guess your waffles will have to wait"! His father yelled.
"Dad please! Please, I'm begging you! You know how I love waffles! Pls let me at least take a few bites!" He pleaded with his father in a loud voice.
"OK son, but be fast about it!" Mr Carter yelled.
Then his mother gently took out the waffles from the kitchen and placed them on the dining table.
"Yummy! My favorite!" George yelled as he dragged it from his mother's hands, and put one into his mouth.
"Table manners, son!" Have you forgotten about that? "You don't rush food like that so it doesn't choke you", Fiona yelled at her son.
"I'm sorry mum, I just can't control my appetite for waffles!" George yelled.
As George gently started to eat the waffles, his father tapped him and whispered.
"Buddy, we don't have much time, the movie will begin soon!" Mr Carter yelled.
"Please honey, be patient. "He'll soon be done." Fiona pleaded with her husband, then the flashback was interrupted as the old man tapped George's shoulder.
"Are you OK George?" he asked curiously. George didn't reply, he just started talking to himself very loudly.
"Oh, I wish my dad would not have gone to that cinema that day, they would have been alive today. I just wished they would let me go die with them! I wish they didn't let me go!" now
I am all alone in this miserable world. Is this the life that they wanted for me?"
Struggling in the Canadian streets, not sure of my breakfast, dinner or meal, but pretty sure that I would see garbage food like sausages, bread, bones with little meat.
I'm barely surviving. I asked myself again, why did they spare my life? They should have let me die with them. At least, I would have escaped this miserable life.
I think they sacrificed themselves and let me survive for a purpose and until that purpose is fulfilled I won't rest. He thought to himself.
Mr. Garry tapped him again. "Are you OK, son? Who would have been alive today? What are you talking about?"
"You look troubled, son. My name is
"Garry, what's your name?"
"I'm George Blackwood. This is my mechanic's shop. What can we do for you today?"
"Wow, it's nice to meet you, George Blackwood. I just need a favor from you. I'll be going to a wedding in two days, but I have a problem. My car has serious issues. I've gone to several mechanics each time they fix it. I wouldn't use it for up to a day; it'll become worse than it was before. I heard about you through a customer, and she said" You're good at what you do, so I decided to come see you for myself", the old man whispered.
"You've come to the right place, can I see the car?" George whispered with ease of mind.
"Come with me", the old man whispered.
He gently followed the old man outside as he saw the car. He moved closer to it and scanned the vehicle. He wanted to say something but he hesitated.
This troubled the old man, so he asked curiously, "What's wrong with it?"
"Sir, the car is so damaged beyond repair. It'll take three days to fix it," George replied.
"Oh no! I don't have that long! The wedding is in two days. "I need to fix it as fast as possible!" the old man yelled.
You're in good hands sir, you don't have to worry, I'll lend you one of my cars. "You can use it for the wedding, you can use it for other purposes till I'm done fixing yours," George whispered.
When the old man heard this, he was so happy. "Wow, thanks a lot, you're a lifesaver."
You're welcome, let me go get a car for you. He gently goes into his garage and picks up one of the cars he built and drives it out.
"Here are the car keys sir," George whispered, telling the old man that the world is indeed small, and life is so unpredictable! He yelled.keys. The old man collects them and smiles for a minute and drives away.
As the car sped away into the air. George gently walked away as he was walking. He saw something on the floor, and he gently picked it up.
It was a business card. An inscription was boldly written on the card. The current CEO of Gary Motor company, George, almost had a heart attack; he couldn't breathe well when he saw this.
"Wow, the world is too small!" he yelled.
