Chapter 5 Plot Twists Begin

George lay on the floor there. He still couldn't see clearly. He struggled with his eyes. It was as if someone punched him in his eyes. He felt a slight pain in his eyeballs.

"There are paths, a guest in a house is not expected to cross" "You're expected to stay in your lane because when you cross paths you've invited trouble and nothing can save you from that trouble!" "Get up!" a voice echoed from behind.

Suddenly, George felt a grip from behind. He now regained his strength and a little consciousness he gently stood up.

"Who are you?" "What do you want from me?" George asked in a low voice.

"I'm Jack Graham, I work here, and I heard there's a car missing from the company." How true is it? If it's true, I can help you find it. "What's your name, bro?"

"I'm George and it's true". He stammered and couldn't speak again.

"Say something bro! I can help you find this criminal." I know my way around the company. I guess you're new here. Sorry about what I said before. "I didn't mean to scare you, though I thought you were a spy," Jack whispered.

George paused for a while to analyze everything, and suddenly he became very suspicious of Jack and a lot of questions popped into his mind. "What are his intentions?" "Those words he uttered to me meant something." Why is he trying to convince me that he didn't mean to say those words? He must be up to something. "I must find out what it is." all these questions kept troubling him.

Jack gently taps him on his back. "Hey bro! "What's wrong, you seem worried." I hope you're OK.

"Am fine!" George replied reluctantly.

Jack could sense the anger in his voice he had just played along.

"It seems you were going to the garage to pick up one of the cars. I can take you there if you like!" So what kind of car do you want to take from the garage? Jack asked him anxiously.

These questions made George more suspicious, and he became lost in his thoughts again. "What are his intentions?" "It seems he's trying to get answers from me to cover his tracks." He must be behind the car theft. "He must be the mastermind of everything." he thought to himself.

"Come with me, I know where the garage is, let's go." George gently followed him. As they got there, George gave him the key and he opened the garage.

Immediately when they got in, George became amazed at the beautiful cars and motorcycles. It felt so astonishing. "What a beautiful collection!" he yelled excitedly.

Let me think you're so excited. Don't let it get into your head though. "That a car is missing from the company is our priority right now," Jack reminded him.

George became more suspicious. So he was now taken away by the thoughts again. "Now he's trying so hard to break my frame, but I won't let that happen."

The best way to beat a thief in his own game is to play the game too.I think I understand everything perfectly now. Why did the man in the suit stop following me? And all of a sudden, someone pushes me down and then warns me with scary words. "James must be the Thief and I think he and Jack are working together, there is only one way to find out." He whispered.

So he admitted to himself that all his suspicions about the thief were accurate.

This time he thought of something darker. I don't think this thief is alone, I think there is more than one. "Who was that person in the suit following me?"

That must be the bait which makes Jack the predator. "It still paints the same picture of suspicion in my head." He thought to himself and then took one of the cars and drove away to the car stand where the cars were placed for sale. He left the car keys there, making it perfect and easy for the thief.

While Jack Graham stood behind in the garage. It seems our guest knows too much. I know what to do. He whispered, picked up his phone and called Jamie and he picked up.

"Hello Jamie!"

"Hello bro" Jamie replied.

Change of plans! I think the newbie knows about our plans. I overheard his conversation with the boss about a plan to set a trap for the thief, so they want you to steal a car so they can catch you from there.

Do they really want to do that? So what are we going to do? James asked curiously.

"Here's what's going to happen: you have to try to kill him, and I'll play the hero card and save his life, which will help me become close to him. He'll be so grateful I saved his life, so he'll have no choice but to be close to me."

He'll be very resourceful for our future plans. I need him by my side. After saving his life, you'll surrender to me, apologize and run away immediately. Don't hesitate to escape. Your identity will put us at risk if they discover your identity.

Of course, George and I will take the glory as heroes. Though it may seem as if we had lost the war, we got to his mind he would trust me and then we'll strike. I promise he'll not see us coming.

"Are you sure about this?" James asked curiously.

The next day, James dresses up early in the morning and puts on a mask, picks up a gun and leaves his office for the car stand. As he got there, he saw the car and smiled.

"I'm very sure all you have to do is to follow our new plan and do not deviate so it won't be jeopardized." Do you understand Jamie?

Yes I do." James replied and hung up the phone.

George wakes up and turns on the CCTV camera monitors. Immediately, he saw the masked criminal and he jumped out of his office. As he arrived after the scene, he ran towards the thief. "Stop there James!" "I know you're the one!" he yelled.

You have no idea what you're up against! For your information, I'm not James! "Get out of here before I blow your head up with this gun!" he yelled, pointing the gun at George.

Is that supposed to scare me? I'm not going anywhere. "You better surrender!" George yelled fearlessly.

James fires a gunshot to scare off George. George becomes scared and shifts back. Jack comes out of nowhere, and pushes James to the floor, grabs the gun from his hand and kicks him in the head and he falls down.

"I'm sorry I surrendered. I promise I won't come back here again! "Please forgive me!" He pleaded and waited for an opportunity. As he got it, he ran away.

Meanwhile, George was breathing heavily; fear had overtaken him. "You saved my life! Thanks a lot Jack! I'm sorry for my behavior earlier!"

"Though things didn't go as planned, at least we caught up with the criminal!" George yelled happily.

Oh, I understand! You're welcome! It's fine bro! Jack replied with a cunning smile.

Suddenly, all the workers at the company who were watching began to clap for them! Heroes! Heroes! Heroes! They kept telling as their voices echoed from a distance.

Mr Garry suddenly arrived out of nowhere. "Nicely done gentlemen!" He complimented them from behind.

"But we didn't catch the thief, sir!" George yelled.

Mr Garry smiled, shaking his head in surprise, then he whispered to him "Oh you don't understand! That's not the point son. The point is, "you were able to stand your ground even when the thief tried to scare you with a gun that shows extreme courage for which you have earned my respect."

"Now you have my attention, I'll make you a deal of a million dollars in exchange for your agreement to produce fifty cars. If you're able to sell cars for more than ten million dollars, I will reward you with ten billion dollars for work well done, but the reward is not just about the money, it is about loyalty, sacrifice and determination and perseverance, if you show me these qualities." Then you have successfully proven yourself to me. I will also help you register your company under a trademark, making it easy for you to buy and sell your products freely like any producer.

Mr Garry said.

George was speechless. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. But sir, I don't deserve his kind gesture! You should have seen how I faltered in the face of that gun. "I'm so grateful to you, sir, for your hospitality, but I don't deserve this!" George yelled.

Mr Garry smiled and whispered. You always amaze me, son! You deserve it, son! The way you stood your ground even when the gun was pointed at you was the only evidence I wanted.

"I needed to know the kind of person I'm helping. No man is beyond fear, but it is our ability to stand our ground even though we may falter that doesn't define us! So my son, you deserve it!" Mr. Garry encouraged him.

Jack's facial expression suddenly changed. He stared at George and the old man angrily. He whispered, "Why does he keep calling him son?" This old man was hiding something from the public.

"I can't wait to get my hands on it, and when I do I will ruin his reputation," he thought to himself.

Jack! Jack! Are you OK? Mr Garry yelled.

Oh boss, I'm really about that for a minute there! "I was carried away by thoughts, he whispered.

As of today, you've been promoted from head of staff to manager of my company, for your dedication to the company, and from today forward James or whatever he calls himself, is hereby fired from this company. "I don't want to set my eyes on him ever again! "Do you understand Jack?" Mr Garry whispered.

Yes boss! I'm really grateful to this boss. I really appreciate it! Jack yelled with a cunning smile.

"Oh! You are all in for a rude awakening. "I have a lot in store for each of you," he whispered.
