"Did Enoch send the divorce papers yet?" Grandfather asked as I fixed his drink. I glanced up from what I was doing and gave him a small smile.

"I already signed and sent them back to him. We are no longer together and good riddance to him. He has embarrassed our family enough. I told you he was a bad choice right from the start. You should have listened to me."

Grandfather grunted. "But did he really beat you, Delia? You didn't lie to me about anything did you?" ...
