I squinted against the sharp rays of sunlight penetrating through the car windscreen. The warmth of the morning passed slowly over my face, brushing me gently from the fog of sleep. My body yelled in pain from the uncomfortable position I had been lying in all night. But I didn't get up immediately. Instead, I blinked rapidly, letting the morning warmth sip into my body.
