AURORA’S POV
“Alia! Alia!”
Our voices rang through the trees like an alarm tone. My throat was hurting but I kept shouting.
But the woods spilt no answer, the just returned heavy silence, and it felt like a mockery.
I tripped over a thick exposed root, I caught myself, and pushed forward, Kasper was just behind me, his boots making noise against dry leaves and damp earth.
