"Hello Dr Jerome, why this early morning call?" Aiden asked.

"It is about Ana," Dr Jerome said. 

"I don't care about her. Is that the baby okay?" Aiden said and Dr Jerome sighed.

"Okay, if that is how you want it. I have reasons to believe someone wants to harm your unborn child," Dr Jerome said.

"What happened?" Aiden asked his heart racing because he had decided to care for the child giving him all his love with no plans to fall in love again.

"I changed Ana's ward, I mean the baby's ward, without updating the system with the changes. This was to make it easier for Nurse Haga to attend to the baby," Dr Jerome said and paused for 5 seconds. "A pregnant woman who was sent to the room where your baby was previously occupying was found dead this morning," he narrated.

"Mr Scott, if you want to keep the baby safe, we have to move Ana from here. Someone knows and wants to harm both mother and child. She is not safe here," Dr Jerome added.

"Have my baby discharged and brought back to my apartment. Do this discreetly," Aiden said.

"One more issue," Dr Jerome said.

"We need to move the woman and your baby now. The police are here because of the murder and it is only a matter of time before the media shows up. The news will be on TV and whoever is after your baby will know they failed," Dr Jerome said.

"Fine, make the move. I will send you an address," Aiden said and ended the call. 

Aiden dialled a number and brought the phone to his ears. 

"Hello Daniel, I need you to do something for me. Very urgent," Aiden said as soon as the call connected. 

At the family house, Aiden's parents, Mr and Mrs Scott had just woken up. They both freshened up and headed for the dining room for breakfast.

"Don't forget to call the senator. We have to see him," Mrs Scott said at the dining table.

"Sure," Mr Scott replied " And where is Ruth?" he asked one of the servants who walked in carrying a jar of freshly squeezed juice.

"She left the house at 6 a.m. She said she was going to work," replied the servant.

"Is she supposed to start today?" Mrs Scott asked after the servant had left.

"No," Mr Scott replied. "I am sure she just wants to familiarize herself with the business," he added.

"Hmm. Are you sure you didn't put her up to anything? Because that girl is just like you," Mrs Scott said and Mr Scott smiled.

"That is good. No one needs a DNA to confirm she is my child. The company will be us anyway once we get rid of Aiden," Mr Scott said and they both laughed.

"Finally, I have waited for this day for so long," Mrs Scott said.

"I thought you liked, him," Mr Scott said with a smile.

"I was on your side," Mrs Scott said.

"That is why I love you," Mr Scott said.

In Toronto, Mrs Morrison and Alice had just arrived in their new home. Alice smiled ear to ear as she admired the beautiful apartment in front of her. They quickly carried their stuff into the apartment and they both took a tour around the house.

"This is perfect. A room to myself. An amazing dining room, kitchen and great living room," Alice said and turned on the TV. 

"There has been a murder in a private hospital in California city. Information reaching us, said the poor woman was five months pregnant. Her husband and only child are left devasted by the news. The police are currently at the scene trying to find out what happened. According to a nurse who was behind the reception desk for the night, she only saw two strange-looking men coming down from the ward side and they headed out. It is such a tragedy what happened but will keep you informed on new updates," came the voice of the reporter.

"That is sad," Alice said and Mrs Morrison agreed as they both watched the news. 

At Aiden's apartment, he watched the news and wondered who would want to harm a pregnant woman. He recalled what Dr Jerome had told him and it dawned on him, that could have been his baby. His thought was interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing. He checked and it was Dr Jerome calling.

"Hello," Aiden said once the call was connected.

"I just want to let you know, I have successfully moved Ana, I mean your baby to the given address," Dr Jerome said.

"Good, I will be there shortly," Aiden said and disconnected the call but before Aiden to make any move his phone rang again.

"Hello Ruth," Aiden said.

"You are not at work?" Ruth said.

"I know that," Aiden replied and Ruth frowned.

"I didn't call to inform you. I want to know why?" Ruth said.

"I don't recall having you as part of the board members or as my line manager," Aiden replied.

"I guess Dad, didn't tell you," Ruth said.

"Tell me what?" Aiden asked heading upstairs to his room to change his clothes.

"I am your deputy. I am at the hotel and I was told you have not been to work for two today, and records also show you were not here yesterday. Why?" Ruth questioned sitting in Aiden's office. 

"Ruth, I don't answer to you. And if you want to do an audit of the hotel, feel free and do it," Aiden replied.

"I see. I will do my audit and you will hear from Dad," Ruth said and ended the call angrily. 

Aiden changed his clothes and called Lewis. They both left the apartment to a private property in another estate. This is where Aiden had Dr Jerome move Ana. Aside the Scott's business, Aiden started a business of his own. He was running a construction business on the side called, Palace Construction Agency. The employees of this company address Aiden as Mr President but have never met nor seen him before. He monitors all activities of the company and meets them online. From that business, Aiden owns several properties of his own. He was not interested in the Scott business or properties aside from helping his father to manage it. 

Lewis parked the car in an underground garage. The apartment was designed and built by Aiden so it was up to Aiden's taste. The apartment is a three-storey apartment, with a pool and a beautiful garden. The first floor has a huge living room, meant for meeting visitors. It was fully furnished with a bar. The second floor is where Aiden stays. It has four bedrooms, each with a toilet and bath. A living room, with a bar. A dining area, and a kitchen, all fully furnished. The laundry is in the basement and the first floor is an open space for relaxation. There is a gym which is fully furnished. Lewis admired the apartment as it was his first time coming there. Aiden had only called Daniel to get him five house helpers and two security men. Daniel also helped Dr Jerome get access to the property per Aiden's instruction. 

Aiden entered the apartment and Dr Jerome met him in the living room on the second floor. 

"She is fine but sleeping now. She was sedated," Dr Jerome said.

"I don't care about her. How is the baby?" Aiden asked.

"Mr Scott, the health of the mother carrying the child has a direct impact on the baby. Without the mother, the baby will not live," Dr Jerome said.

"Is that your way of telling me to give the woman some attention?" Aiden asked.

"It is not my way but the health of your child is dependent on the health of the mother," Dr Jerome explained.

"That is fine," Aiden said and Dr Jerome smiled thinking Aiden had agreed to give Ana some attention but Aiden's next words made the smile on Dr Jerome's face vanish immediately.

"I will give her some strict rules to follow to ensure she is healthy at all times. Get me a dietician. I need her to be on a strict diet. Where is she?" Aiden said and Dr Jerome led the way to one of the bedrooms.

Back at the family house, Mr Scott was on the call looking very angry.

"You eliminated the wrong person," Mr Scott said on the call.
