"What is it?" came Aiden's unwelcoming voice as he sat behind his desk in his office.

"You have a visit from your mum," Amanda announced and Aiden frowned. "Are you coming home?" she asked.

"I am at work and my mum knows that. I will be home after work," Aiden replied and ended the call before Amanda could say anything else. 

"What does she want? I thought they cut me off?" Aiden thought. "This looks like troubles ugly head," he thought rolling a pen through his fingers.
