"Marcus is walking free. Marcus came for her," Aiden thought.

"Aiden, did you hear what I said?" Ruth said seeing Aiden was silent.

"I did. Let the police handle that," Aiden replied.

"She will come for you. So it would help if you were careful," Ruth said.

Ruth stayed around for a while and left for work. Aiden dialled Dr Jerome's number and brought the phone to his ears.
