"How did it go with the lawyer?" I asked.

Raphael had come back from the lawyer's place late in the evening. After I had waited for a long time, pacing to and fro in the living room worried about him, I was glad he came back unscathed.

I went to hug him, helping him release his tie and pulling off his suit.
