Honestly, I never expected my adopted parents to show up in Ciara's household. How did they even know I was there? Were they following me, or maybe they wanted to just see Ciara, perhaps pass a message through her to me?

And that wasn't even the most annoying part of it all. The way they came—threatening Ciara and I—was just so much for me to handle. I had no other choice than to lash out. Besides, they aren't my parents anymore, so what's the point of holding back?
