Rhea’s POV

The wind blew gently into the cabin, whistling into the dark. Kieran was asleep, mouth slightly open. His neck twisted gently to the side, exhaustion etched into his features.

I watched from the bed as he laid on the floor. It was freezing, I was sure but I couldn't bring myself to wake him up.

I wanted to climb into his arms and hug him, to believe his words, ignore the sting of betrayal. But the other part, stronger and colder, knew better.
