Elin's POV

My apartment building rises ahead, familiar concrete against the night sky. I pull into the parking lot and my headlights catch another car already there---sleek black, Ice Moon insignia gleaming on the hood.

Grayson stands beside it, tall frame rigid against the cold. His green eyes find mine through the windshield.

Something's wrong.

I kill the engine. Step out. "Grayson?"

"Elin." His voice cracks around my name. "My mother---she's asking for you."
