Wendy had dragged me out to a bar, eager to celebrate finally putting the X Innovation debacle to rest. Spirits high and glasses fuller than they should have been, we let the alcohol loosen our tongues. As the buzz settled in, Wendy leaned close, eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Elin, I have to tell you something," she whispered like a conspirator. "Guess what I caught Saira Stein doing?"
