I left the hospital with Grayson. I planned to have him drive me home, but he thought that wouldn't be safe and took me to his villa instead.

I did worry about that too—if Lucas came after me, I would be unsafe at home. But what about my mother?

I called her; she said she'd already returned to the castle. Aaron had promised her he wouldn't let anyone threaten her.

That reassured me a little. I told her, "Mom, thank you for what you've done for me."
