"Grayson, can you come with me to the hospital today?" I asked over breakfast, gripping my coffee cup too tight. "I need to see Yanis."

He looked up from his tablet, green eyes softening. "Of course. Whenever you're ready."

I nodded, relief washing through me. I couldn't face that place alone—not with Aaron somewhere in the same building, not with Yanis lying there because of me.
