Elin’s POV

The fluorescent lights buzz overhead as I slide into my desk chair. My computer hums to life, and I pull up the project proposal I've been working on for the past two weeks. The numbers are solid. The strategy is sound.

'This better work,' I mutter, clicking through the slides one more time.

Wendy appears at my cubicle with two cups of coffee. "Big day?"

"Presentation at ten." I take the cup, grateful. "Linda's going to tear it apart."
