Dark’s POV

I stood by the window, staring at my vast territory. I breathed in deeply, the absence of Sal sinking in.

I groaned inwardly and turned to see my mother approaching me. I could barely hear her footsteps.

“Are you sure you weren’t once a spy, Lady Havana?”

She chuckled, walking to stand by my side as she dismissed her maids and asked them to wait outside.
