Selene POV

I stared at the door long after Dark left, my heart thundering in my chest.

The mark on my neck still throbbed gently. He marked me.

I didn’t know what to feel, anger, confusion, fear... or something else entirely.

“Selene,” a voice said behind me.

I turned to see Riven standing near the edge of the room, his arms crossed, his face stiff with anger.

“We should leave,” he said.

I blinked, unsure I heard him right. “Leave?”

“Now. While there’s still time.”
