Lady Havana didn’t say a word as I entered her room.

She stood beside the black carriage, her posture regal, her eyes unreadable. Two guards stood by her on either side.

I stopped just a few steps away from her, waiting for what she'd say.

She said nothing.

Instead, she lifted her chin slightly and gestured toward the open door of the carriage.
