Selene's POV

The ray of sunlight blinded me as I opened my eyes.

I groaned, but then the light was gone, replaced by a gentle warmth. When my vision adjusted, I saw Director Caius standing over me, one hand raised to block the sun.

“Director Caius,” I muttered.

He turned away to drop the curtains, then returned. I followed his movements as he carried a tray of food from the table toward me.
