Amara's POV

The weight of Dorian's confession was a physical thing, a cold, heavy burden that settled in my stomach. The image of a man left to die on a rainy road, of a family mourning their loss for three years, of a man who would stop at nothing to hide his secret—it was a bitter, painful truth that I didn't want to accept.
