In my twenty-eight years on earth, I have only seen the blood moon once, which was twenty years ago, when I was ten.

I remember my father, drawing me close and telling me that each time the blood moon comes out, during the full moon, and taking over, that a hybrid has been born, or has taken its full wolf form.

It was also the day I knew I was going to be an alpha.

Now twenty years later, the same moon had taken over the full moon, and I could feel it in my core.
