Morgan’s POV

I had mindlinked Harry and disclosed our location to him.

By the time he got to us, Alora had shifted back to a human. She was naked, trembling, and covered in bruises. Her long black hair clung to her face while her limp body laid in my arms.

She stared at me as I wrapped her in the oversized coat that Harry had brought.

“We’re going home,” I whispered.

She nodded weakly and let her head fall against my chest. I kissed her chin, unable to stop myself.
