I watched as Violet crawled on all fours on the floor, retching out bile and blood, her eyes sometimes darting up towards me, looking to see if I would help her.

The pain she had inflicted on me, on my heart, and dignity didn't allow me to lift a hand to help her.

I turned my eyes away as her hands landed on a pillar for support.

I heard her gasp and I turned to see what had happened, and my eyes landed on the Alpha.
