The chamber erupted in chaos the instant the impostor healer lunged for Alora. My instincts roared, but another figure moved faster.

Chloe.

She moved at the speed of light, and before I knew what was going on, she was in front of the Marwen, claws protruding, fangs out. 

She snarled at her, seizing her by the hair and yanking her backwards so hard, a strangled cry that sounded like that of a witch broke out of her lungs.
