Two days later... 

The SUV door clicked shut behind me. The warm midday sun glinted off the polished surface of the private jet waiting on the runway. 

I adjusted my sunglasses as I stepped onto the tarmac, my designer weekender bag slung over one shoulder. Sloane walked beside me, her hair pinned into a stylish bun and an oversized tote in hand.
