The dining room glowed beneath the soft, golden chandelier light. Its shadows cast across the long table filled with every kind of Italian dish I could name and some I couldn’t. There was Truffle pasta, grilled sea bass, fresh burrata with heirloom tomatoes, garlic butter escargot, and even crispy artichoke hearts. A massive bottle of Brunello sat near Alexander, though only Ramona had poured herself a glass so far. 

The villa staff had truly outdone themselves.
