“I want to talk about Alexander.” 

Sloane looked at me for a while and then looked away. Her elbows propped on the table, scrolling through her phone. She was smiling faintly, for it to be about whatever she was reading, but just enough to look natural if you weren’t paying attention. 

Unfortunately for her, I was paying attention. 

I put my spoon down and said, quietly, “I know who you went to meet last night.”
