I was still standing there, alone in the hallway, where he left me. Trying to grapple Peris' last words.

'Never lose your mask in front of them' his words echoed in my head.

Are his family that bad? Or is he trying to hide my shame?

Once more I feel reminded of being ugly.

I folded my arms trying to cuddle myself as I felt a shiver down my spine.
